rse. The course and club are here to be enjoyed whenever you wish. Our policy is to restrict membership numbers to ensure that members have no need to book a tee time, they just turn up and play whenever there is no official competition. This also means that visitors will be welcomed and treated to the Wigan experience. VISITORS:

We welcome visitors and parties, of all sizes, all year round. We hold a number of Opens and Charity Days, and are a perfect size and location for a society. Corporate golf is welcomed at Wigan and Arley Hall is a great setting for an away day. Wigan Golf Club is keen to offer you and your party a package tailored to your requirements. Please also view the current offers available, or phone the Secretary's Office for further details. We have a practice area, putting green and nets for a warm-up. Drinks, golf balls, tees and yardage books are available in the Club. Buggies are available for booking. THE 19th:

The prestigious clubhouse and lawned moat are excellent settings in which to relax. Our bar and catering staff offer a warm and friendly service, providing delicious traditional food, which can be enjoyed with a taste of some local beers or a sample from our wide offering of wines.

Some words from Captain Sue Cater after a fantastic weekend of golf..

β€œWhat an incredible day for Wigan Golf Club at the District Championship held at Dean Wood on Saturday 20th June.
Our fantastic team of Christine Pendlebury, Lynne Helm, Olivia Magleave, Karen Pegler, Di Corner and Jane Lowe produced a truly outstanding performance, winning both the Gross Team and Nett Team competitions.
The individual honours kept coming too, with Christine Pendlebury winning Best 36-Hole Nett, Olivia Magleave winning Best Nett AM, and Di Corner winning Best Nett PM.
In truth, we swept the board!
As Lady Captain this year, I could not be prouder of the team. Their talent, commitment and team spirit were evident throughout the day, and they represented Wigan Golf Club brilliantly.
Congratulations to each and every one of them on a fantastic achievement and a day that will be remembered with great pride.”

A closing round of 68 to finish on -12 after breaking the course record on Saturday with a stunning 9 under par round of 62!

Many members will know that Stuart's wife, Gill, was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in 2023. After a long and difficult journey, we're delighted to say she has made a fantastic recovery and is now enjoying life to the full.
To give something back, Stuart and his friends Gary Speakman, Martin Jump and Mike Ashton will take on an incredible challenge on 14th-15th June, playing 4 rounds of golf in 24 hours across 4 countries – England, France, Belgium and Holland – to raise funds for Heartburn Cancer UK.
Heartburn Cancer UK does vital work raising awareness of oesophageal cancer, supporting patients and families, and helping improve early diagnosis and treatment.
If you're able to support this fantastic cause, please donate whatever you can. Every contribution, no matter the size, is greatly appreciated.
