Solstice blessings this Sunday. βοΈ
Summer Solstice Candle Magick.
Do you need a way to celebrate the Solstice in a more simple way?
Start simple. Candle magick doesnβt need to be complicated, just a flame, your intent, and a quiet moment.
Use whatever colour candle feels right to you, or whatever you happen to have to hand. While modern guides often link specific colours to certain intentions, remember that in earlier times, dyed candles were a rarity. Most would have been plain tallow, humble in colour, but no less powerful in purpose.
The Elemental Nature Of Fire.
Fire is one of the oldest allies of humankind, the heart of the hearth, the warmth in the dark, the spark that brings stories to life.
At the solstice, when the sun reaches its peak and the land is flooded with light, the flame becomes a symbol of both culmination and turning. It offers focus, clarity, and transformation.
In candle magick, the flame is your anchor. Gaze into it. Let it draw your thoughts into stillness, then into purpose. As your words, thoughts, and visualisations gather, the working begins, not at the moment you light the flame, but from the moment you think of lighting it.
So light your solstice candle when it feels right. Some do it at sunrise, greeting the longest day. Others prefer twilight, marking the moment the sun begins its slow descent towards the horizon and sunset.
There is no single way. Trust your instinct. Be present. Mark the light, and the turning of the wheel, in your own way.
Just begin.

Summer Solstice Candle Ritual
1. Light the candle.
Watch the flame.
Let your eyes rest in its flicker.
not staring, but softening.
Let the light meet your gaze and steady your breath.
Let your thoughts settle like shadows around it.
2. Hold your palm near the flame.
Feel its heat, feel its truth.
3. Speak these words:
The sun stands still, the year holds fast,
The longest day now comes to pass.
I honour fire, I honour light,
The burning day, the depth of night.
What I have sown, I now shall reap,
What I release, the dark will keep.
I stand in strength, I stand in flame,
I speak my truth, the seasons change.
So may it be, as the days grow long once more.
