e its inception in 2005, Mid Lancs Sub Aqua Club has continued to grow and flourish. From the beginning, Mid Lancs Sub Aqua Club has made provision to accept members from the age of 12 in accordance with BSAC guidelines, and is also proud to have a number of junior scuba diving members within the club. There’s never a shortage of dive buddies within the club, as virtually every weekend and even on occasions during mid week club members are going diving. Mid Lancs Sub Aqua Club also boasts 5 nationally qualified instructors (collectively with in excess of 35 years of instructional experience), and one of which was voted BSAC Advanced Instructor of the year. Based centrally in the North West region, Mid Lancs Sub Aqua club provides opportunities for Scuba diving around the Wigan , Chorley , Standish, and Horwich areas. Friendships are formed and member’s families are welcome to the activities of Mid-Lancs Sub Aqua Club, which don’t stop at scuba diving. We regularly arrange social events such as meals out, barbecues, camping, white water rafting to name but a few. The Club meets every Monday night at about 20:00 at the Unity Club in Standish. 🤿 The Delph delivered today!

Nothing beats a solid, relaxing leisure dive when the conditions play nice. Vis was as good as it gets at the Delph 😂, the water felt amazing, and honestly, just hovering around the quarry wrecks and hanging out with the fish was the exact reset button we needed.

Shoutout to Andy, Su, Ryan, Lauren, Nick, Fillan, Colin and Jen for the awesome company and the post-dive warm drinks. ☕️

If you’ve been putting off getting back in the water, this is your sign to grab your kit and get wet.

🤿 Deep diving into the end of May!
Spent an incredible day at Wastwater on the 31.05.2026 for some serious Sports Diver training and depth progression.

There is nothing quite like hitting the water in England’s deepest lake to test your skills and push your limits.
The main mission for the day? Depth progression to 30 metres.

Location: Wastwater, Lake District (stunning views above and below the surface!)

Max Depth: 30 metres 📉

The Vibe: Crisp, moody, and beautifully atmospheric.

Training Status: Nailed the drills, maintained perfect buoyancy, and felt completely comfortable in the deeper zone.

Massive shoutout to the instructors for the flawless briefing, safety cover, and top-tier camaraderie.

Pushing your depth progression requires trust, and this crew delivered.

🌊 Anglesey, we’re coming for you! 🌊

The kit is prepped, the cylinders are filled, and we are absolutely buzzing to head back to Anglesey for another full weekend of incredible diving!

From exploring historic wrecks to drifting alongside the stunning marine life, Anglesey never fails to deliver an epic weekend on (and under) the water.
There is truly nothing quite like loading up the boat, heading out to sea, and sharing some world-class UK diving with an amazing crew.

🌊 Huge congrats to our Ocean Diver trainees! 🌊

A few weeks ago, this fantastic group took a massive step in their scuba journey by completing their very first open water dives at Capernwray Diving Centre!

Going from the comfort of the training pool to the open water is a major milestone, and everyone handled it like absolute pros.

The water might have been a bit fresh, but the smiles on everyone's faces made it completely worth it. 😉

A massive thank you to our incredible instructors and safety divers who kept everyone safe, confident, and smiling throughout the weekend.
