SUMMER 2026. THAT’S A WRAP. 💙

Parents, you made it. 😂
Six weeks, countless packed lunches, early starts, late pick-ups and the eternal question of *“what are we doing today?”*

But behind the chaos, something pretty special happened.

This has been a record-breaking summer for Smart Body Sports

👧 6,000+ children reached through HAF sport, dance and enrichment
⏱️ 1,000+ hours of activities delivered
🍽️ 6,234 lunches + 729 breakfasts provided
⭐ 400 children accessing activity every day across our programmes
🤝 16 new youth volunteers trained and mentored
🏘️ 200 hours of community outreach, including evening sessions and local support

And the numbers only tell half the story.

It’s the child who found their confidence.
The one who made a new friend.
The one who tried a sport they’d never played before.
The parent who got a few hours back in their day.
The communities that had somewhere safe, active and welcoming for children to go.

**That’s what HAF means when it works.**

So to every parent who trusted us with their children, every colleague who gave their energy to making camp happen, every volunteer who stepped up, and every school and community that opened its doors to us...

Behind this number are 6,000+ individual summer experiences across our HAF camps, filled with sport, dance, creativity, friendship, confidence and plenty of reasons to get out of the house!

For families, that means more than just activities. It means:

🏃‍♂️ Children staying active and engaged
🤝 New friendships and social experiences
💪 Confidence growing through trying new things
🍎 Nutritious food and positive routines
🧠 Enrichment, learning and new skills
❤️ Parents getting valuable support during the long summer holidays

And most importantly, 6,000+ children have had somewhere to go, something to look forward to and an opportunity to thrive.

🚀 200 HOURS OF COMMUNITY OUTREACH THIS SUMMER. WHY DOES IT MATTER? 💙

The summer holidays are a brilliant time for children to get outside, be active, make friends and try something new. But for many families, they can also bring extra pressure, cost and long days to fill.

That’s where community outreach matters.

200 hours of evening mentoring sessions means more opportunities for local children and young people to get involved, stay active and spend their holidays in a positive environment. ⚽🎾🏃

It’s about more than sport. It’s about connection, confidence, positive choices and giving communities somewhere to come together.

And the impact doesn’t stop when the session ends. Every hour creates another opportunity to engage a young person, support a family and strengthen the community around them. 🌟

This number isn’t just a statistic.

400 children per day accessing 2 hours of sport, enrichment and leadership means 400 young people getting active, making friends, building confidence and creating memories. ⚽🤝🌟

For parents, it means something just as important:

✅ A safe, positive place for children to spend their holidays
✅ Less pressure during the long summer break
✅ Opportunities for children to try new things and develop skills
✅ More time for parents to work, recharge and manage family life

And for our communities, it means hundreds of children being given opportunities they might not otherwise have.

💙🌳 WILLOW BANK | THE FINAL WEEK IS HERE! 🌳💙

After Friday's trip to the park and farm shop, we're heading into Week 6, the final week of Smart Body Sports Summer HAF! 🚀

What a summer it's been. From sports and cooking to trips, challenges, new experiences and those all-important little wins, we've seen some brilliant progress from our Willow Bank young people and all our camps. ⭐

Now it's time to round things off properly and celebrate the landmark achievements, confidence, friendships and memories built along the way.

And for parents and carers...

THE SUMMER HOLIDAY FINISH LINE IS FINALLY IN SIGHT! 😂🙌

☀️ LANCASTER ROAD | 40+ CHILDREN, ONE BIG COMMUNITY! 💙

Another brilliant week at Lancaster Road Primary School with around 40 children joining us each day! 🙌

We've had everything from football, dodgeball and handball to gymnastics, Corner Ball, colouring, music and plenty of free play. ⚽🏐🎨

Even the unpredictable Morecambe weather couldn't stop us! 🌦️ When the rain came, we brought the fun inside. When the clouds cleared, we were straight back outside for a big camp-wide game of football! ⚽🔥

But the biggest win this week isn't the activities... it's the impact. Around 40 local children coming together every day, staying active, making friends, building confidence and having somewhere safe, positive and welcoming to spend their holidays. 💙

For parents, that's 40+ children supported each day while families juggle the summer holidays. For the children, it's another week of memories, friendships and fun.

The morning started with a little creative fuel, with campers getting stuck into cake and biscuit decorating 🎂🍪 before heading outdoors for plenty of action, games, running and summer fun! ⚽🏃‍♀️
