Helping Develop ‘Champions in Life’ 🏆🏴‍☠️

One of our philosophies that we value highly is the development of ’Champions in Life’ not just ‘Champions in Jiu-Jitsu’

The focus upon building the fundamental characteristics of what it means to be a good person

To develop and display qualities of character

Respect, Kindness, Resilience, Confidence, Discipline, Compassion to say just a few

Through this whats also created is a more positive, safe and supportive environment for people to grow

And it’s actually within that growth environment that people perform at their best and are more likely to become champions not just on the mats but off the mats too

And that’s what matters most to us, that people’s experience and time here is helping them develop a more positive life in other areas not just within their jiu-jitsu

After all what’s any championship winning medal or accolades worth if we don’t care for and respect ourselves or the people around us

A true reflection of the hard work and consistency from all of our members, coaches and parents who bring them to every class and allow us this great privilege to help their children in their development

Some great performances from both kids and adults today, some wins, some losses but always plenty of experience to learn, grow and develop from 📈

We are very proud of the whole team especially those who have had the courage and commitment to step out their comfort zone and into competition for the first time 🏴‍☠️

Thank you to everyone who came today and the whole Blackbeard Team for their continued efforts and support 🙏🏽

We’ve been exploring options for beating your opponent’s defensive frames from top side control and setting up some submission attacks for the triangle and arm bars 💪🏽

A great night of learning, training, rolling and as always having fun with the team 🙌🏽

Congratulations to Grace on her star of the Month award, it’s amazing to see her development within the kids team recently and to watch all her team mates cheer and celebrate as she received it was amazing to see 🙏🏽

Celebrating others people’s successes no matter how big or small is something we encourage highly here 🙌🏽

Great energy and training at the academy last night from everyone, it’s always a pleasure to see old members returning and more new friendly faces joining us and enjoying their training and time here with the team 🏴‍☠️

We run Free trial classes for all new members to come and meet the team, get a feel for the vibes, the training and the environment
