Widnes Wasps Ladies Running Club Established 1987, we’re the original female-only running club in Widnes. We’re affiliated to England Athletics, fully insured & welcome new members 🐝

Dedicated to helping women 18+ find their inner athlete and take the next step in their running journey! Tuesdays and Sundays are official club sessions. Our new Thursday sessions are predominantly coaching sessions which incorporate running with other necessary techniques such as speed training, interval training, fartlek training and much more.

Established 39 years ago, we’re still going strong. We run from Parklands Sports & Social club on Tuesdays at 6.30pm, hold regular sessions at different locations around Widnes on Thursday evenings and you’ll find us at various parkruns and races every weekend. We’ve several members taking part in this Sunday’s Manchester Marathon and others running the London Marathon on April 26. We’re open to all female runners over 18 and provide a welcoming and supportive environment for new runners 🐝
