Dewsbury Moor 22 - 10 Hornets Greens

Our girls took on Dewsbury Moor in their second game of the U13’s Cup.

Sadly they didn’t come away with the win this time, but they gave it their all against a very strong, well disciplined Dewsbury side.

Our girls can take away a lot from this game, which is what this has been all about, and the biggest positive we could have were parents and the coach approaching us to tell us how good the team are and that we challenged their team a lot.

The girls work well in a team and this shows in both attack and defence. They know when to carry and when to pass down the line, they defend together instead of always on their own and they back each other throughout the game.

The biggest thing our girls need to learn is to always believe in themselves!!

The girls were great in attack, gaining yards through teamwork and strong carries.

The girls gave it their all in defence on Saturday, having to defend their own line several times and they managed to not concede once in the second half.

A huge well done to our girls on their first win of the season in a closely fought match against Pilks.

The girls have improved so much since February and this was shown today when they proved what happens when they put pressure on the opposition in their attack.

All the girls should be so proud of themselves!
