Bit of a scrappy game today, but the lads came away with the 2 points. Zach kicked our 3 conversions, which proved to be the difference in the end.

Our match against Thatto Heath was rescheduled yesterday, so we headed over to Leigh East for a friendly.

The lads were asked to focus on the plays they have been going through in training, running their lines and sticking to their field positions. Scoreline aside, it was a good performance and they all done what was asked of them. Will be looking to carry that forward to this weekends game.

The lads made the trip over to Oldham St Annes yesterday. Was a great game of rugby to watch!

The lads settled in well, scoring early on but took their foot off the gas a little just after half time. They kept plugging away and showed a lot of grit to get back into the match with a try in the corner on the last set of the game to make it 12-10. A worldie of a conversion from bang on the touchline👌 meant that we came away with a point. 🏉

Back at home next Sunday where we will host Thatto Heath.

We welcommed Wigan St Judes down to Wilmere Lane yesterday, but it was a tough day at the office for the lads.

Never really got going, a few errors and we came off second best. Credit to St Judes who were well drilled.

Lads will pick themselves back up this week and get back to training, ready to go again this weekend.

Next up for our Green Machines is our first home game of the season against Wigan St Judes, down at Wilmere Lane.

We've had a couple of good games against St Judes last season, so we're looking forward to another this Sunday.
