Another zoom PT session with Dorian and maddie. A great session finished off with some horrible echo bike calories and v ups. With lockdown not looking like it’s ending anytime soon. These sessions can be done from the ‘comfort’ of your front room!

Great first session for Elaine and her son!!

Loved this cheeky conditioning finisher.
No rings for muscle ups or enough head room for bar muscle ups so 15 pull ups each set.
E2mom x 10
12 Cal Row
15 unbroken pull ups

At the start of lockdown .heald approached me and asked for some help with his press ups.

Initially we focused on his technique. Correct technique will allow for greater muscular recruitment and development but most importantly prevention of injury.

After Jordan established a better technique we then focused on producing an overall greater capacity in the same time frame. I gave him a 5 minute test to perform as many press ups as possible. His score was a solid 60. After just 10 sessions he improved his score by 20% (72). What is your goal during this lockdown period?
Want to build a baseline level of strength/fitness for when the gyms reopen again?

If the answer to the above is yes but you're unsure on where to start.
Don't hesitate to get in touch and we can get you on the right track!!

Jo came to me wanting to improve mobility and movement for crossfit. We have completed 3 sessions now and I have focused on hips, thoracic mobility and shoulders. Here are a few pics of the progression so far.

In the squats pictures Jo is doing a back squat and then a front squat. Yes these are completely different moves but I beilieve that you require more mobility to perform a good front squat than you do for a back squat.

With the shoulder mobility pics. By mobilising through first rib techniques, thoracic mobility and plenty of stretching. You can see how Jo is now able to put her hands together above her head with no pain or impingement.

Great work Jo. But we still have plenty to do.
