A well fought game for Havoc this morning.
Comments from today’s captain

‘A challenging game for Havoc today against a brilliant Hawks team. We persevered throughout the match and despite it not going our way, we worked well as a team throughout. Adapting our play and tactics as we went.

Our shooters worked SO hard today against a strong Hawks defence. Clearing out the D then driving back in to gain that perfect shooting position in the D.

Mid court were calm and worked well together to progress the ball down the court, making drives into space for the ball. Good communication was key today!

Our defenders caused some intense pressure on Hawks’s shooters and in turn got some great intercepts and turnovers.

POM today goes to two people! Abbi who worked calmly throughout the match and was always available as back up for the shooting third AND Becca who made some very impressive movements around the D and put some amazing shots up!’

Hawks awarded MVP to today’s captain, Rowan, who put in an incredible defensive shift 💪🏼.

A win for Whitwick Chaos this morning!
Comments from today’s captain …

‘A great game this morning for Whitwick Chaos against Ashby Avalanche, with a cracking scoreline of 53-18 👏🏽

Chaos put on a fantastic all-round performance this week, coming away with a well earned win thanks to strong defence, composed mid-court play, and sharp shooting in the circle.

In defence, Loz, Dee and Becca were on form – reading the play beautifully, applying constant pressure, and picking off multiple intercepts to shut down the opposition’s attack. Their work rate made it incredibly tough for the other team to find their rhythm, earning Becca captains player for the game and Lauren MVP from the Ashby side.

In the mid-court, Becks, Ruby, and Hannah showed real composure throughout all four quarters- With controlled passing and smart movement. They connected so well between defence and attack, working the ball down court beautifully.

Up front, Lyndsey and Kate T were on top form, sinking goal after goal with confidence. Their accuracy and teamwork were standout features of the match, converting turnovers into points and maintaining a steady lead.

Overall, it was a brilliant team effort with every area of the court doing their job. A solid performance to be proud of!

Special mention to Georgia for coming to watch, support and coach today, made such a difference and coaches player goes to Ruby 👏🏽 thoroughly deserved Rubes. 💜’

Whitwick Luna VS Gracedieu Gems
Final score: 64-14🏆

“First game of the year for Luna today, and we smashed it! 🌙

As always, it was a solid team effort and everyone was on their A game. It was good to see some drills that we have been doing in training taking shape on court and working well too!

Our defence were relentless and never stopped, and Rowan earned herself MVP for her constant pressure and interceptions 🏆

Our mid court just flowed beautifully, and the shooters were on fire too! 🔥

Captain’s Player of the Match this week goes to Becks who was fantastic both mid court, and with her shooting long bombs in the last quarter 🏐🏆

Special shoutout to everyone on the side line today (and there was lots of you!!), the support always means a lot to us all 🫶🫶”

Whitwick Nova VS Ashby Cyclones
Final score: 39-22 🏆

Fabulous work today ladies, starting 2025 with a good win! 💜 A little chaotic at times but we kept our lead throughout and took home a full 8 points 🥳

Well done to Defence who worked their socks off against strong Ashby shooters!

Ashby gave MVP to Ruby 🏆 for great movement, interceptions and feeds into the D.

Shooters were on form today and Captain’s Player goes to Sarah 🏆 for brilliant movement up and down the court and great play with Lyndsey and Little G, working fabulously as a trio!

🌙 Luna went out and gave it their all today in their last match of the year, and the hard work really paid off!

It was a solid team effort and there was some beautiful netball being played throughout the court 🏐

Special mention to Dee 🏆 who was awarded a well deserved MVP, she was everywhere she needed to be on court and made some cracking interceptions. And Captain’s Player of the Match today goes to Niamh 🏆 who had a really strong game in GK, really putting the pressure on our oppositions shooting duo 💜

Pleased to end the year on a win! 💫

MVP was given to Sarah today! 🏆 Her shots were always on point and she did some fantastic space making! Captain’s Player of the Match goes to Little G 🏆 for bringing new energy to the court and making some amazing shots too!

Fabulous work in both Ds - attacking and defending, we never gave in, taking every opportunity presented. Plus mid court held up the pressure against a face paced and springy team to keep us ahead 🏐

Shout out to all the supporters - loving having you all court side! Thank you 💜

Final score: 38-9 🏆

🌙 An early start for Luna this morning with the first match of the day, and it was a great one! 🏐

It was a solid team effort today, our defensive trio were on fire with some great interceptions and Loz earned herself a well deserved MVP 🏆

The ball flowed well up court and our mid court players worked it around really well until our shooters were ready for it!

Some great movement in and around the circle, and super shooting from Hannah has earned herself Captain’s Player 💜

Whitwick Luna VS Hawks 1
Final score: 22-44✨

Luna faced a strong Hawks team in our second Cup/Plate match! 🌙

Everyone worked really hard and there was some lovely netball being played up and down court! Lots of interceptions and everyone worked well together to put the pressure on our opponents 🏐

Unfortunately for us, Hawks took an early lead which we struggled to pull back but we kept going and no one stopped giving their all until the very end 🫶

Captain’s Player of the Match goes to Dee who put a shift in at both WD and C, always being exactly where we needed her and giving an option on every ball 💜
