Today, three teams came together and over 70 women shared one pitch, playing the game we all love.

Coalville 3–12 Kenilworth
Coalville 0–42 Lichfield

The results may not have gone our way, but today was about so much more than the scoreboard.

We were able to build on the foundations we’ve worked so hard on throughout pre-season, put things into practice and play some really decent rugby against two brilliant Championship 2 sides. 🔥

Most importantly, today gave us exactly what we needed — a tough test, valuable minutes together and the opportunity to put ourselves in the right mindset heading into the start of the league.

There’s plenty to take away, plenty to work on and plenty to be proud of.

Pre-season is about building. Today was another step forward. 💪🏉

A massive thank you to Kenilworth and Lichfield for coming down and making it such a great day of women’s rugby. ❤️

Not our usual post- but can important area to talk about 💙💛

💚 September — Su***de Prevention Month

Sometimes the hardest thing to say is “I’m not okay.”

Mental health matters just as much as physical health — and that includes in sport. Behind the kit, the results, the smiles and the confidence, people can be struggling with things we know nothing about.

You don’t have to have the right words.
You don’t have to deal with it on your own.
And you definitely don’t have to wait until things feel unbearable before reaching out.

Check in on your teammates. Check in on your friends. Check in on yourself.

A conversation could be the thing that reminds someone that they’re not alone. 💚

Let’s make talking about mental health part of the team — not something we only talk about when someone is struggling. 🫶🏼

Let’s look after each other off and on the pitch 💙💛💚

Last night we had our first game of the season as Coalville Women 💙💛

A 41–19 win against Silhillian Sirens 🏉🔥

What a game! 👏🏻

A new identity.
New players.
A new structure.
But the same passion, fight and love for the game. 💪🏻

The first chapter of our journey is written… now let’s keep building, keep improving and keep pushing forward together. 💙💛
