Clubbercise with Sarah in Peterborough

We have chosen this charity as it’s very close to our heart. Mum and I began our Clubbercise journey with Sarah in 2018 when she taught classes in a very small church hall in Whittlesey. We both instantly fell in love with Clubbercise, so much so that I went onto become an instructor! Sadly in 2020 Mum was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Below is Mums story:

I was introduced to clubbercise with Sarah by my daughter (who later went on to be a Clubbercise instructor) back in 2018. Being a more mature lady, I was very dubious as to whether I would be able to a)manage a class and b) enjoy it, not having exercised for a long time. Little did I know that I would be hooked - I loved every class and was even making a 50 mile round trip to attend! My daughter then went on to take her own classes in my local area and I was doing three classes a week! However in the spring of 2020 I began to feel fatigued and despite exercising, my weight wouldn’t budge. Lockdown came and classes stopped and I felt my abdomen getting more and more bloated, my appetite decreasing and generally β€œnot right”. Fast forward to June 2020 following scans and further tests I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I had chemotherapy followed by major surgery including hysterectomy, removal of fallopian tubes, appendix etc. Since then I have continued to have treatment to keep the cancer at bay and had many ups and downs since then with other complications. However, without a great medical team, the love and care of my family and the support of Ovacome it would have been a much more difficult time.

Ovarian cancer is often mistaken for other medical conditions such as IBS etc and in some women the most common symptoms of bloating, feeling full after a few mouthfuls, needing to wee more frequently and tiredness aren’t clear until it’s too late. It is an also a common myth that only more mature ladies are diagnosed with this cancer but it can occur in any younger female and also a cervical smear does not pick up ovarian cancer either. So please listen to your body and if you think things are not right, seek help.

Ovacome are a wonderful charity and full of advice and support for not only those suffering but their loved ones as well and rely on any help they can get from fundraising. With the amazing support of Sarah and the Clubbercise family ,thank you for supporting this charity and reading my story ❀️

Let's glow together and spread awareness 🌈🌈🌈

Hi Clubbers. I hope you are all well ❀. I just wanted to share this with you again. I've spent the morning researching and having a go at the online classes that Clubbercise HQ have put together πŸ–₯(my children promised me 30 minutes hassle free as a mothers day present to me to let me have a work out 🀣) its absolutely fantastic!!! I am in no my way affiliated to tv.fit and I dont profit in anyway at all from this. I have paid my Β£7.99 too and had a go in the same way anyone else signing up would. I absolutely loved it and feel I have had a great workout! This is a very tough time πŸ˜”πŸ’”, I'm finding it very hard being in insolation, I'm feeling very anxiousπŸ˜“πŸ˜₯ and this is just what I needed today. I feel so much betterπŸ₯°.
I've added some pics and screen shots so you can see🀳. You sign up and then you can either use the app (which I've put on my phone) or you can log in via the webpage (which I did from my kindle for the workout). There are 4 x 30 minute sessions to chose from:

πŸ’œ Miami
πŸ’š Ibiza
πŸ’› Rio
🧑 Vegas

I did πŸ’š ibiza this morning and loved it. You can see from my Fitbit⌚ I've had a really good workout πŸ₯΅πŸ˜…. There are high and low options..I hope this helps some of you. This is my little rainbow light in these very difficult times πŸŒˆπŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ§‘πŸ’š

Much love,
