Decided to venture to Knitsley Mill Fishing Lakes at the weekend, for a much needed personal fishing session. It felt amazing to be back out on the lake again.

As I expected the cooler temperatures certainly had the fish feeding well. The first rainbow trout was landed within the first few casts and I finished the session netting 10 fish altogether and missing/losing a good few more.

This fishery is very secluded and hidden away from the roadside, which makes it a perfect venue for absoloute peace and quiet. Plus the bonus of having lots of good hard fighting fish to try and catch.

Session 12 - Fishing with Veterans, working alongside Anxious Minds .

Coming into these warmer climates, the catching becomes far more difficult on Stillwaters. Water temperatures make fish slow down so they reserve their energy and they'll feed on tiny insects/flies. So matching the hatch for the anglers is very challenging.

But the sun was shining and it was a glorious day for the attendees. Then add to it the surrounding hills and fields that you have as your back drop, its just beautiful to look at. You truly get the sense of peace and tranquillity here and that is what we strive for, not just on these sessions but in our day-to-day lives. Everyone who has attended these sessions have all came away having had that feeling of simply "being in the moment" and it is an amazing feeling and we hope to spread that to as many people as we can.

This is the halfway point and its been amazing so far. We're really proud of what we have achieved to this point as these sessions have been highly successful. We want to give these opportunities to as many of yous as we can.
