Whitley Bay junior parkrun Whitley Bay junior parkrun is a free, timed, 2km running event for young runners aged between 4-14 years. See you there 🤗

Held each Sunday at 9am,starting on the helipad opposite the Crab and Waltzer with a safety briefing and warm up from about 8:55.

Well done to all our young runners who took part in the sunshine this morning!

Well done to Freddie who achieved the ultra band for 50 junior parkruns! Sadie who achieved the marathon and for 25 junior parkruns! And the following people who achieved their half marathon band for 11 junior parkruns: Bea, Nell, Edie, Joshua, Charlotte, Finlay, Joshua, Emily, Emily, Jacob, Zachary, Seb, Luke and Sophie!

We need a couple more marshals and some scanners to make Sunday’s event possible. We have a takeover from Appletree Gardens First School so need some extra hi-vis heroes this weekend. Thanks!
