🌺 The Whithorn & District Horticultural Society annual show is set up and ready to receive your entries at The New Town Hall!🌺

Entries can be lodged in The New Town Hall this evening from 6.00pm till 8.00pm. Also on Saturday morning before 9.00am.

You can stage your entries on Friday evening as well as on Saturday morning.

Doors open at 1.00pm tomorrow (Saturday 15th August) with the presentation of the trophies at 2.00pm. 🏆

Afternoon Teas will be served throughout the afternoon so why not come along and enjoy a cuppa and catch up with friends after enjoying viewing the exhibits? ☕️ 🫖 🍰

Entries must not be removed before 4.30pm.

The auction of show produce takes place at 5.00pm on Saturday after which the raffle will be drawn. Lots of great prizes, top prize is £50!

Come and support this local event if you can. Not entered before? Give it a go! There’s a section for everyone - prize schedule with entry form inside, available in local shops and our town hall foyer.

Excellent discussions were had at our Climate Literacy Training Event today in The New Town Hall! Thank you to Senga from D&G Climate Hub & Phoebe from Galloway and Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere for facilitating such a brilliant day of learning & sharing! And thank you to all who attended & contributed!

🌞 Hi everyone! 🌞

What an AMAZING few weeks we’ve had at our Summer Workshops! 💛 The smiles, laughter, new friendships and incredible creativity have been so special to see.

🍕 This Wednesday we’re back with our Pizza Crew from 11:00am – 1:00pm. There are still a few places available, so if your child would love to make their own delicious pizza and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon, get in touch to book!

Then we’ve got our final two workshops next week…

This friendly, interactive one-day session is open to everyone – no prior knowledge needed. You’ll learn about climate change, explore practical actions we can all take, and discover how small changes can make a big difference for our communities and our planet.
