Sometimes we convince ourselves that we don’t like sport because, as an adult, it’s hard to “go back” and be a beginner. We like to be competent before we even, well begin.

But it turns out I don’t hate swimming, I love it, nearly, as much as running!

I had a lovely conversation with Terrell from The Half Marathoner recently about running, injury, getting older, and what happens when things don’t quite go to plan!

We talked about what returning to running looks like for a 57 year old woman & how this can impact identity, but I shared my thoughts on the real reasons women leave running, because it’s rarely about the running itself.

Anyway, if you fancy a read while pretending to stretch after your run, the interview link 🔗 is in the bio

Fabulous race in Yorkshire - Ripon 10 miler. An undulating route that took us through Studley Royal, a never ending How Hill but a fast finish back to Hell Wath nature reserve.

Thanks to my dad for supporting, always lovely to see a friendly face at the finish. Plus I’m pleased with my rehab journey, ankle is getting stronger as I’m gaining more confidence on the trails

ABP Run Club 2026! And it’s been a blast with (lots) of hill reps over Itchen Bridge, many laps around Southampton parks and we can’t forget the sprint finishes at Mayflower Park!

Good luck to you all on Sunday 🏃‍♀️🏃☔️

London Marathon 2026!

The glory lap of months of hard work, grit, determination, early mornings in the wind & rain, then full time work, fundraising……

I’m so proud of what Jo achieved yesterday, executing the race beautifully with grace and dignity as she rose to the challenge. I never had any doubt ❤️🏃‍♀️

Congratulations 🥳 to everyone who ran yesterday, be careful though, it’s quite addictive 😉
