It’s impressive when you have something for 20+ years, and that’s exactly what Hilton Hotel Gateshead had with their rubber tiles 👀

23 years to be precise, until the XL Gym Interiors team stayed there last week.

We moved all the kit around to accommodate the new flooring, a 20mm XL Connect tile in 15% dark grey and a shock pad.

The total area size of the job was 110m2 and was completed in 2 working days.

On a side note, the team reported back that the rooms were great, and that room service was delicious 😋.

📍 Liverpool

The team were recently at Liverpool John Moore’s University on a project including a full rip out and removal service (225m2 total area):

1️⃣Removal of timber sprung floor
2️⃣Installation of a 50mm fibre reinforced concrete screed.
3️⃣Installation of a 30mm rubber tile and customised 2m x 12m turf track

Overall the time were on site for 2 weeks including drying times.

What used to be seen as just a training routine for those who wanted to get into body building is now becoming a norm in every gym up and down the country!

More people are starting to make use of weight training areas whether that is with free weight dumbbells or bar bells.

At XL Gym Interiors we know the conditions and environment that is required in order to make this area more durable due to heavy footfall over condensed periods of time so that you don’t continually have to close the area to give it time to breathe.

What you don’t see!

A lot goes into replacing the flooring in fitness facilities.

This week the team have been on a job in which it needed a studio flooring lifting up and replacing with something different to reflect where they are taking health and fitness.

A transformation is pending 😁
