📣Important Update on the 2026 10K📣

After careful consideration, we’ve made the tough decision to pause the 2026 10K, meaning the race will not be taking place on Sunday 29th March 2026. Ongoing logistical pressures and a very challenging financial climate mean we cannot deliver the event to the standard our runners and community expect and deserve. Safety has always been our top priority, and this decision reflects that commitment.

We know this will be disappointing for those who have entered and those that planned to enter, and we’re genuinely sorry for the impact it may have. All registered runners will be contacted directly with refund details.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We are currently working on plans for exciting upcoming events, with more information to come soon. We are also looking ahead at what shape the 10K could take in the future, and will share updates as those plans develop.

🦺 Join Our Volunteer Team for the Whitchurch 10K 2026! 🦺

We’re getting ready for the Sir John Talbot’s School Whitchurch 10K, taking place on Sunday 29th March 2026 — and we’re looking for volunteer road marshals to help make race day a success! 🙌

If you can spare a few hours on race morning, we’d love your help keeping runners safe and cheering them on around the course. It’s a brilliant way to be part of this much-loved community event!

✅ All marshals will be fully briefed
✅ Safety equipment provided
✅ Road closures in place for everyone’s safety
✅ Free refreshments and a bacon bap as a small thank you for your support!

Whitchurch Whippets Running Club is a friendly Road Running group serving North Shropshire. The club was formed in 2007 and currently has over 100 members of all standards.

Participants of the club meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm at the Whitchurch Rugby club. It doesn't matter if you're just starting out or you are a seasoned runner, the club is open to everyone!
