A massive thank you to Quik Padel in Whitchurch for hosting our under 18’s last night. A lot of good (and poor) Padel on show…..

After starting the season with back to back wins the 18’s changed the footballs for the racket in what was a very competitive evening.

FT Shawbury 18’s 1-3 Whitchurch Alport 18’s

A stop start game throughout but the young reds showed enough quality in the final third to take all 3 points back to Alport.

MATCHDAY 2 🔴◽

Its time for our young reds to hit the road for the first time this season, and their looking to back-up last weeks win and getting another W on the board against Shawbury United, so get down their and get behind the boys

FT Alport 18s 5 Eccleshall 1

A dominant display from the young Reds who showed their quality back to front to create chances which weren’t capitalised on consistently enough however went into half time with a comfortable 2-0 lead. After the Balls worked well out wide to Duboulay who delivers a great ball hard and low into the box where C.Davies placed home to open the scoring. Ruffles then doubled our lead after he shows great creation to slot the ball home under the wall from a close range free kick.

C Davies finds himself back among the goals shortly after half time as he found the ball landing at his feet after a well worked press to win the ball back and opens his body well to slot home across goal. And then follows his hattrick he shifts onto his right foot and wraps the ball off the crossbar and in and finally to rap up a 5 star performance a nice wide rotation from Tretton and J.Davies with the latter driving into the box where he slides C.Davies unselfishly in for his 4th goal of the night.

Come and help shape the future of our great club on Thursday evening at 6:30pm, as we are holding our first Whitchurch Alport youth meeting at the Cadstones Building Supplies clubhouse, as we look to form a youth committee to represent the youth aspect of the club alongside the adult committee.
