A special moment from India with my mum, and a reminder of how practice..like life..continually evolves. I hope yesterday was a beautiful day for all, however you celebrated motherhood in your life.
This photo, taken five years ago in Rishikesh, India, brings me back to a time when my Asana practice was at its most physically consistent. Though I wasn’t teaching then, my days were woven with discipline, moving, refining, deepening postures. The foundation of my practice was strength, repetition, and exploration.
Now, life looks different, and so does my yoga. The practice has softened, not in effort but in awareness. Instead of reaching for depth in a pose, I search for the depth within…the quiet intelligence of breath, the spaces between movement, the wisdom of stillness. This is the gift of consistency: not just progress, but perception.
As we transition into April, our practice at the Green Lane Centre in Whitby mirrors the unfolding season. Just as nature shifts from stillness to renewal, we too embrace this rhythm moving into a new sequence designed to nourish, expand, and ground.
📅 Tuesdays: 5:45 PM – 7:00 PM
📅 Thursdays: 5:45 PM – 7:00 PM
This season, we explore transitions not just in postures, but in perspective. What remains constant is the commitment to showing up, to listening, and to honoring where we are in this moment.
I look forward to sharing space with you.
