Eskdale Community 3G Pitch

As a new facility the 3G Pitch has assisted in the development of local grassroots teams, and provided an excellent place for match play for all formats of the game.

To meet the criteria of external funders we now need to develop more football development initiatives and plans are in place to start these in September with the return of the Weetabix FA Wildcats, FA Just Play and the launch of Friday Night Football. We are also looking at hosting disability football and more female football sessions.

As a good starting point please see below details of the United Sports Partnership Summer Football Camp that starts on Tuesday.

⚽️ SUMMER FOOTBALL CAMP ⚽️
Please see the image for details of Week 1 of our Summer Football Camps, that will take place from Tuesday - Thursday for five weeks of the school holidays.

The daily price is just £10, but you can book on all three days for £25,
All our coaches are -
✅ UEFA C or B qualified
✅ Hold a FA DBS
✅ FA First Aid Certificate
✅ FA Safeguarding Children Certificate

All the sessions will take place on the Eskdale Community 3G Pitch as will our FA Wildcats and Friday Night Football sessions that will start in September.

Great to see that the 🦁 sessions are starting on the 3G pitch this week. A great environment for girls to learn and enjoy the game with a UEFA B coach to learn from.

After last week’s session was postponed due to the extreme heat, we are pleased finally be able to deliver the Whitby Wildcats session again 🦁

This is the FA’s official girls football programme that is delivered by a UEFA qualified coach.

The sessions are every Tuesday from 5 - 6pm on the Eskdale Community 3G Pitch; £4 per player

Timetable for 3G Pitch Community Event 👇

⚽ 11am - school site open; access via layby gates or school yard
⚽ 11:15 - FREE FA Wildcats session for girls and Whitby Fishermen's Football Teams U8's
⚽️ 12 Noon - official opening on pitch side
⚽️ 12:15 - Walking Football (opportunity to try the adapted game)
⚽️ 1pm - Fishburn Park Juniors U14's and U16's

During the event there will be a bouncy castle, Whitby Leisure Centre will be in attendance with the Bee 🐝 and there will also be a ice cream van! 🍦

If anyone in Whitby would like to try Walking Football there's an opportunity to do so as part of the 3G Pitch Community Event at Eskdale School on Sunday.

The session will start at 12:15, is completely FREE and all equipment is provided. Please just bring suitable clothing, moulded boots or astro trainers and a drink!

United Sports Partnership are delivering a FREE FA Wildcats session as part of the 3G Pitch Community Event on Sunday at 11:15am.

So if you know a girl footballer aged between 5 - 11 and you want to be involved in the official FA girls football programme, be coached by FA qualified coaches and play on the new Eskdale Community 3G Pitch; then FA Wildcats is for you!

Plans are coming together for the 3G Pitch Community Event on Sunday, which will officially open the pitch. We have a bouncy castle, an inflatable penalty shoot out and Whitby Leisure Centre will also be attending.

If you are a local junior football team and would like a slot on the pitch between 11am - 2pm please let us know. ⚽
