You can book to play online and we offer competitive green fees throughout the week. Having originally been founded at Goathland in 1892 Whitby Golf Club has been located in this stunning clifftop location between Whitby and Sandsend since 1895. There are wonderful views along the coast between Kettleness and the iconic Whitby Abbey and views inland towards the rolling North York Moors. Where ever

you are on the course you are guaranteed a view of the sea! Whitby Golf Club is easily accessible from the North East via Middlesbrough and from the South and West via Scarborough and York. The course is perfect for visitors as it is neither too long or difficult, but remains a good challenge for the lower handicap golfer. The weather conditions can also provide an interesting, if unexpected, playing partner.

There's still some spaces between 8am and 9am to join us on Saturday 11th July for our Mens Open. Teams of 4 with 2 scores to count on each hole but ALL scores to count on our par 3's.

Yellow tees and 90% handicap allowance to make it even friendlier. Players with a handicap index of 22.0 or above may enter but must play off 22.0 (index) for the day.

We will be extending our bar opening hours to show all of England's World Cup games live at the club, starting with the game against Croatia on Wednesday 17th June at 9pm.

Keep your eyes peeled on our posts for game specific deals across food and drink!

We've also selected a further six group stage games within our regular opening hours to show across our four screens.

Our Wine Wednesday, Thirsty Thursday and Fish Friday deals will run alongside these selected fixtures too if you needed any more reason to come down.

There's still time to book your group or society for summer 2026 at Whitby. Our set packages offer excellent value for groups of 8 or more golfers. Plus if you book a tee time after midday on a Sunday we will knock off a further £5pp from package 3 or 7.
