Morning everyone.

It seems as though overnight storms have made quite the impact on some of the trees around the Church and on the driveway in to the car park. At the moment the entrance to the car park is blocked.

We will update further when we know more.

A tough but valuable learning experience for the U11 Blues on Monday evening at Graves Park against a very strong Handsworth side! As the away side, Parish batted first and showed immense grit at the crease to protect our wickets against a highly disciplined attack, finishing with a net score of 228. In the second innings, the team took to the field with boundless energy, pushing the opposition for every single run, but Handsworth played excellently to finish on a net score of 314 to take an 86-run victory. A special mention goes to Samarth, who led the attack beautifully to claim our wicket of the evening, clean-bowling one of their batters and finishing with stellar figures of 1 for 13 from his 3 overs. While the result didn't go our way, the character and team spirit shown by the players in the heat was fantastic. We'll take these lessons into training and look forward to bouncing back in our next fixture! 🏏

🏏 There is a point in every long cricket day when food becomes the most important subject in the world.

Impressive Victory On The Road For Our U15's!

Last night saw our U15's away from home for the 1st time this season away at Wickersley, In hot humid conditions on a sunbaked fast scoring surface we made the most of batting first posting an impressive 207 for 3 from 20 overs, Braiden Stokes 40 from 22, Nathan Green 41 from 24, Joe Gaffney 44 from 26 and Noah Cairns 42 from 20 were all ruthless at the top of the order reaching the retirement limit of 40 runs in rapid time, there were then contributions from Myra Singh (7) Finnley Young (10) and Finlay Blackmore (8) hitting 2 boundaries in the final over to take us past the 200 run mark.

In reply Wickersley got off to a great start with their opener Joe Llewellyn hitting 41 from 23 before our bowlers started to take control, Joe making the breakthrough and finishing with 1 for 24 from 4 overs, Harry Tudor then bowled tidily taking 3 wickets for 17 from 3 overs, Isaac Hainsworth claimed 2 wickets and Nathan took 1 as Wickersley finished on 154 for 7 giving us a 53 run victory, we face Collegiate at home on Wednesday in our next game.

With another very warm evening forecast, please help us keep everyone safe and comfortable.

Please make sure children and coaches:
🏏 Wear light, breathable clothing
🧴 Have sun cream applied
💧 Bring a full water bottle
🧢 Wear a hat or cap if possible

Our coaches will make sure regular drinks breaks are taken throughout the session and will adapt activities where necessary so everyone can enjoy their cricket safely.
