The 1’s will be looking to bounce back again next week… 😬

A very competitive game with end to end action but ultimately Shooters FC made and took more of their chances today.

They also put their own goal away and picked up all their rubbish like proper grown ups. Thanks lads 😘

We caught Craig goal on camera. Some debate as to whether it’s an OG (Joe Woodward is leading the campaign on this)

MOTM went to making his debut for us today. No picture yet so out comes the ‘generic Wherwell cartoon person’

They cleaned up on pitch but despite their huge staffing levels we cleaned up their changing room - Google the Japanese national side boys 😘

Despite the mess they’ll do well this season and we’ll look to take some learning from the result.

We welcome new side Shooters FC to us next week where hopefully we can make a better showing 💪🏻

The 2’s got their season off and running with a defeat to last seasons Division 3 winners Upper Clatford.

Not a result they’ll want to dwell on but a week’s rest before they get to go again and will hope to make a statement second time around.

The end of a long off season. Final prep completed tonight.

Pitch cut and marked, goals cleaned last week and new nets yesterday, bar restocked, and decorated with photos and mementos of years prior to us. Our village has an illustrious football heritage including the visit of an Arsenal legends side 20 years ago!

We are proud to be adding to that heritage with our trophy haul and of course Drew Vincent artwork 🤣

Our first team return to the top division after a four year absence.

The reserves also step up from the bottom division for the first time.

The summer is over!

This time next week, we’ll have our first results, new graphics to share, new teams to play, some new players making debuts too.

We don’t know what season XI will bring but we’ll do what we can to live up to season X.

One thing is for sure. We’ll continue to enjoy the exploits of club legend

Having read the exciting news andovertownfc shared this week of their takeover and their new owner saying he was going to share the story of how he runs the club. Our chairman was inspired to show you what the day in a life of a Sunday League Chairman looks like as we approach the start of a new season.

14.6km and 17,400 steps all in the same field. One pitch marked, changing rooms cleaned, four goals cleaned, pitch cut, overgrowth in goal storage cut and cleared, two packets of crisps eaten 🤣

Whilst performing a bit more pitch prep ahead of the new season. A miracle happened tonight.

For only the 3rd time in 10 years Matt Casson came to training.

The first time he was drinking a can of Stella before we started,

The second time (if you can count it) he went to ‘the’ Anton instead of Anton School - it’s the thought that counts right?

Then tonight, he turned up by accident. Yes that’s right he didn’t know we’d be there 🤦🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️
