‼️ WEEKEND RESULTS‼️

Saturday saw the Tom Cammy masterclass where after a strong bowling effort with Monty Cort (sponsored by ) the pick of the bowlers. Then an excellent 50 by Sam Jackson was followed up by one of the best knocks you can see by the skipper (sponsored by A&P Truck & Trailer Parts) where he managed to get us over the line despite still needing another 41 more to win when we were 9 down. His 75* came off 62 balls with 13 fours and 1 six.Shout out to Ewan McDonald who was also there unbeaten at the end.

The 2s were 2nd best at home to South shore where they just couldn’t quite push on to get to the total.

Sunday saw the 1s in cup action against top division Garstang. Toby Birtwistle showed his promise with the ball in the first innings while Danny got his first 50 back in the chase.

The 3s were then at home on Sunday as they won once more. Bowling first they restricted New Longton to 148 from their 40 overs thanks to great spells by Caspar Cort and Henry Bradford. The young side then chased this one down with the first wicket amassing 146 runs before Harry E was out on 49. Harry Aldred however continued to press on as he ended on 82 not out. They carry on their impressive start with 6/6 overall this year

🏏 WEEKEND RESULTS 🏏

The 1s were back to winning ways after a close encounter last weekend. Batting first Whalley posted 168/8 thanks to runs from Levi (sponsored by JEP youth engagement) and Hamish (sponsored by The Fielden Family) before then bowling Carnforth out for 136 thanks to Levi again and Denty (sponsored by JEP Youth Engagement)

The 2s lost in some of the most intriguing conditions we’ve ever seen.

Sunday saw the 3s make it a full calendar year unbeaten in the league. Batting first Whalley posted 169/9 from their 40 overs with Ed top scoring and contributions coming throughout the batting lineup. They then bowled Longridge out for 111 thanks to the returning Henry Bradford with 4-16 from his 6 overs and Ruth Cameron picking up wickets through the middle also.

Incredible achievement for the young side to have won every league game in the last 12 months 👏🏻🔵🏏

U9 A vs Rawtenstall and U9 B vs Enfield loving cricket. Great to see 2 games going on at whalley and so many watching on a lovely Sunday morning 🏏👏

T20 Cricket 💥

The 1s are in T20 action tonight away at Euxton. Hopefully the rain stays away and we can get underway at 6:15pm 🏏🔵

🏏 WEEKEND RESULTS 🏏

The weekend started with T20 action down at Station Road - a very good Leyland side coming out on top in that. A good start with the ball by Monty Cort (sponsored by Holdens&Co) on his return to action.

Saturday saw the 1s host Fleetwood in a thriller. Batting first Whalley posted 255-8 thanks to a brilliant 100 by the pro (sponsored by JEP Youth Engagement) also well supported by Hamish (sponsored by The Fielden Family)who got his first 50 for Whalley. This however just wasn’t enough as Fleetwood chased the total down in the final over of what was a thrilling game throughout.

The 2s travelled to Tarleton on Saturday where they faced some tough batting conditions and ultimately weren’t able to get enough runs. Theo Keniford somehow getting 2-4 with the ball was something.

Longridge were the hosts for the 2s on Sunday who were in cup action. Playing against a team from a higher division was always a challenge for a very young 2s side and they were 2nd best on the day. Charles Havard showing in the chase how destructive he can be with the bat but unfortunately this wasn’t enough.
