9 precious skeins. For now.
I kept them like precious china, favourite shoes I didn’t want to spoil. But, I’ve dyed them as part of kits for Yarndale next weekend. The base is one I feel so passionate about because of the quality; the bounce, softness, drape and resilience. It’s 100% wool, John Arbon Knit by Numbers 4ply, 50% Bluefaced Leicester 50% Falklands Merino, skeins for cradling before you wind.
I love this base so much and the good news is it’s coming back soon as a regular yarn base in the Mamie and Florrie range.
But for now, just 9 precious skeins for Yarndale.

🧶Never has a week passed so quickly!
🧶I’ve always said January comprised of 37573 days slowly increasing to pace faster than the speed of light when we’re playing out in the sunshine through summer.
However, come September I’m sure heart beats increase to the pace of a mouse and between September - December there’s two days, two teeny, tiny, baby days.
🧶This week has been about dyeing yarn for Yarndale and two gorgeous KnitEasy groups and lots of appointments too.
But it’s good, we’re good in the hood and boy I can’t wait to see people soon in Skipton!
🧶Have a beautiful weekend yarnies, yes I’m still sample knitting and yes, I’m enjoying every single minute.
🧶And look, a peek at my Calendar Scarf, pattern by - I’ll show you more very soon.
Knit with Oslo Singles, Manchester Nights Mohair and Violet (146) Lang Paillettes.
Still read and awake? Bravo baby🥇🥇🥇🥇

I’m knee deep in show prep so quietly working hard behind the scenes. But I will be able to share some gorgeous newness very soon. Do you like this neon coral? It’s called Electric Avenue…
I’ve lots planned for this Autumn into Winter; shows, kits, new colours and yarns and new accessories.
But for me, what’s most exciting is being able to meet those of you who can get to the shows soon. This Autumn I’m doing a top, middle and bottom of the country…not in that order.
🧶1st Yarndale in Skipton Yarndale
🧶2nd Make Joy in London Make Joy brand new to me and I’m super excited
🧶 3rd East Neuk Knits in the amazing East Neuk of Scotland East Neuk Knits
I can’t wait to get back in the road - see you soon? (And I can come out of my dye shack!)

Autumn shift and changes but Knit Season is OPEN!
I’m not going to lie; I love Summer, I love daylight and being outside. In order for me to embrace the cold and dark I love to think of all the warm knitwear, fun projects and yarn possibilities I can enjoy over the colder and darker months. Is this relatable to you?
I’ve been planning colours, yarns and companion yarns to share with you for some time and I guess now is time to embrace it too. Time to get my knit on, time for us embrace sweater weather.
I’ll start sharing more with you soon, excited?

KAL Complete! Here’s my Ranunculus details, keep watching and see below 💚
💚 I used : 1 x Mamie and Florrie Under the Gunnera Adventure Sock held with 1 x Under the Gunnera Mohair - I used just over one of each but that’s because I had to rip back my first attempt. I’m confident I could have made a slightly shorter one with one of each.
💚I knit : size 4, wide neck, short sleeve version and I knit my body measuring 25cm to bottom of hem including a 8cm rib.
💚My feelings on this knit: 💚💚💚💚💚 loved it, an easy knit with some concentration for an accomplished knitter.
💚This is the Summer 2026 Mamie and Florrie KAL. We have a KAL group on Instagram and it has been wonderful for questions, chat, progress and updates, thank you wonderful KAL’ers for sharing your tips and friendship!
💚There is going to be a Mamie and Florrie Autumn KAL starting mid September and this is going to an all inclusive knit for abilities starter to advanced - same pattern but you choose to pimp up a basic shape as you like! It’s going to be a banger!! See you here? Drop me a comment 💚💚💚💚
