Q.What’s better than a second place in your first Olympic Games?
A. The opportunity to attempt a first place in your second Olympic Games.
Congratulations Jason and Lisa!!!
The work that goes into realising this opportunity is immense and speaks volumes of your character.
Greatest respect and best wishes also to Tash and Annie (FX) and Jim and Shaun (49er), all outstanding young sailors and role models of whom we are enormously proud.
Whilst your chance for Olympic glory might have to wait you can be assured that the experiences that bring you to today will serve you well towards amazing futures.

In 2013 the Youth America’s Cup proved its potential as the springboard for aspiring sailors seeking a stepping stone into the worlds premiere events.
Objective Australia was established to ensure young Australians were provided access to this opportunity.
Our team grasped the challenge with both hands and went on to become America’s Cup team members, Around the World winners, Olympic medalists, World Champions and flight controllers for all 3 podium boats in the 2019 Sail GP.
Objective Australia has remained committed to youth opportunity and looks forward to assisting the next generation on their path to representing the Royal Prince Alfred YC and Australia on the world stage.

In 1994 coaching changed for me from being a job to being a mission when I met Jo Dikkenberg. Whilst I’m sure I taught Jo plenty, she was really the one teaching me... A 14 year old with a dream and a trust to try any challenge I set, a depth of character, determination and resilience to overcome the setbacks that stand in the way of all high end objectives. From Jo I learned that quality people are required to produce quality outcomes. Jo was pure quality!
In the years we spent together we achieved everything we set out to conquer including her first world title as a sailor and mine as a coach.
25 years later coaching remains for me a mission far more than a job thanks to the memories and lessons I shared with with Jo.
25 years later Jo returned to meet, come on the water and share her wisdom with Tash and Annie, young world champions of equally high quality and aspirations, working towards achieving the highest standards in sailing.
One of the most special moments in my coaching career was getting these 3 amazing girls together to celebrate a quarter century of mission chasing.
