📍 Redlands Community Sports Hub

A very professional and organised performance from the girls today. Illness and holidays left us with only 9 players today but the girls didn't let that bother them. Everyone stuck to the game plan and did everything asked of them. Some really good goals today from set pieces showing the girls that practice in training does make perfect in the matches.

Swanage 5 - 8 Weymouth Fc U15’s

📍Days Park Swanage

Another great performance from the girls on a difficult playing surface. The game started well with us taking the lead early on only for a tough Swanage team to turn it around in a matter of minutes. The girls showed great fighting spirit and battled back leading at half time by 5 goals to 3. In the second half the team had gotten used to the playing surface and managed some fine team moves which led them out eventual winners with a scoreline of 8-5. All the best to Swanage they have a really good account of themselves. Goals from Jess x 4, Jennifer x 1, Macey x 1and Izzy x 2 with Izzy picking up player of the match 👍

What a match. In tough conditions, the girls started the game with a real point to prove and found themselves 3-0 up inside the first 20 minutes thanks to goals from Jennifer, Macey and Jess. Most teams would have crumbled at such a bad start but credit where credit is due, Shaftsbury really had a go and very almost took the game to penalties hitting the crossbar in the dying moments with Weymouth running out 4-3 winners eventually. All the girls worked extremely hard to grind the result out and we couldn't be prouder of the resilience shown. Shout out to our player of the match Lacey who was absolutely phenomenal playing as a sweeper keeper today. Extremely quick off her line and safe hands when needed. Well done Lacey.

Weymouth Fc U15’s 4 - 0 Merley

📍 Redlands Community Sports Hub

After a quiet pre season schedule and lack of training sessions the girls really had their work cut out for them as they played 80 minutes for the first time ever. They showed their grit and determination to get through today's game digging deep and putting in a great performance from the first to the last whistle. They controlled the ball and created multiple opportunities which were expertly finished off. Goals today from Jennifer, Macey and Jess were enough to get the better of a really well organised Merley team. Player of the match went to Jess who was a constant danger in the final third.

🏅 Weymouth FC U14’s girls won in penalties!
Well done to the girls Saturday! Considering we hadn’t played since November and the holiday season in between, it was clear we were a bit unorganized at times and ran out of steam towards the end. Despite that, the team battled hard and showed glimpses of great football.In the end, I think we got the result we deserved, as we were probably the better side overall. Five excellent penalties and a fantastic save from Lacey sealed the win for us.
🏆Player of the Match goes to Eliza for her relentless effort in midfield, constantly breaking up their play and driving us forward.Well done to all the girls for braving the cold and giving it their all!

Great job, girls! It was an exciting game to watch. You showed incredible resilience, always fighting back when we needed a goal. After such a long break with no games, you all dug deep and earned that result. Well done to each and every one of you!
