The Preston (Weymouth) Table Tennis Club recently held its AGM which was attended by the majority of its 60+ members.
Club Chairman Mick Hogan reported: “the past year has been the most successful in the Club’s history, with more new players joining than ever before. Our members have also received a record number of awards at both local, regional and national levels this year. We are looking forward to being even more successful in future and we will be introducing more opportunities for our members to progress and develop.”
The club was formed in 2009 for social and league players. It entered six teams in the Weymouth League in 2025/6 and is planning to enter eight teams in the 2026/7 season.
The Club is based in the Goulds Sports Hall at the Westfield Arts College on Littlemoor Rd and is open on Wednesdays from 6.30 - 9.30 and Thursdays from 7 - 9pm. Membership is £12 per year and nightly subs are just £3.
The Club is supported by the Westfield Arts College and caters for all playing levels from beginners to local league players. It has three qualified in-house coaches and the venue is fully accessible.
