Thursday 28th may onwards for up to 5 days the A353 will be closed from Poxwell to mills road between 9.30am-3.30pm. If you come this way please allow extra time to get to us. Thanks

Hot weather

We are expecting some higher temperatures over the weekend.

Lessons will be adjusted as appropriate & taking into account both horse and rider welfare, this may be a ride out as an alternative.

Riders must wear long trousers and correct footwear. Long sleeved tops and gloves are recommended and don’t forget suncream.
Please make sure any children attending pony club bring suncream and plenty of water.

Sandals, crocs and flip flops should not be worn on the yard / around horses. Look after your feet.

Please do not leave dogs in cars

Helpers needed this week
If any of our lovely helpers are about this week to help we would be very grateful 🙏
Days we need helpers are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday anytime between 9am-4pm.

Volunteer Helpers wanted!

We are on the look out for some more helpers to help with our general day to day tasks within the riding school.

If you would like to gain valuable work experience within a small friendly riding school this may be the perfect opportunity for you. You will need to have some basic knowledge of handling horses as some of the jobs may involve grooming horses, tacking up, leading horses in lessons and ride outs, bringing in and turning out horses.

We are looking for help at the weekends and on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during the school holidays. We open from 9am-4.30pm but we are grateful for any hours that you may be able to offer.

Ideally looking for children over 12 years old anyone over 18 years old would need a current DBS

Update Monday 16th February

Due to today’s high winds and the school being wet from yesterday we will be taking all of our beginner/novice rides out for safety reasons. Other rides will be assessed as the day goes on and if the school drys out.

We’ve had a lovely day despite the weather, we had a group of rider come up to do a stable management session as an alternative to riding, they stayed nice and dry whilst learning all about the different types of horse rugs and boots. They learnt how not to fit a rug, with Muffin and Bailey being the chosen ponies for the job. They then had a go at putting leg wraps on Muffin and Sunday. 🐴

We then got soaked and covered in hay whilst giving out the hay. We had some happy ponies with Muffin and Rocky using Pav as a table. Trust Pav to stand in the way whilst the hay was being thrown over the fence 😂

It then brightened up for our very last group of the day who managed to get out for a ride out in the sun ☀️
