🌊 CHESIL BEACH CONDITIONS
Tuesday 8 September

Chesil is looking quite lively this morning, with a noticeable swell and plenty of white water pushing up the beach. It is certainly not flat.

Winds are around 13 mph WNW with gusts to 20 mph this morning, strengthening and turning more NW through the day. By this afternoon they are forecast around 20 to 23 mph, with gusts reaching roughly 24 to 26 mph.

🌊 There is a moderate swell and active shorebreak showing on the beach cam, so anglers will need to take care close to the water’s edge, particularly as the tide starts pushing back in.

🌧️ Rain and mist this morning should clear towards lunchtime, with a much brighter and drier afternoon expected.

🌡️ Temperatures reaching around 18°C

🌊 Low Water: 10:32 am at 1.39 m
🌊 High Water: 5:42 pm at 3.45 m

Overall, fishable but lively conditions today. The wind itself is not the main issue, but the swell and shorebreak are making Chesil considerably rougher than the wind forecast alone would suggest.

🎣 Chesil Beach Report — Monday 7th September

Chesil is looking fairly settled this morning, with just a small amount of movement and a light shore break. Conditions are certainly fishable at present, although the westerly wind will gradually strengthen through the day, which should put more movement into the water later.

We are just past low water at 09:31, with the tide now flooding all the way through to high water at 16:13 at 3.11m.

🌬️ Wind

10am: W 13mph, gusting 18mph
11am: W 13mph, gusting 17mph
12pm: W 15mph, gusting 20mph
1pm: W 14mph, gusting 18mph
2pm: WSW 15mph, gusting 17mph
3pm: WSW 14mph, gusting 17mph
4pm: WSW 15mph
5pm: WSW 17mph
6pm: WSW 17mph
7pm: WSW 20mph, gusting 21mph
8pm: WSW 18mph, gusting 22mph
9pm: W 17mph, gusting 21mph

The morning and early afternoon look the more comfortable part of the day. Expect the sea to become progressively livelier as the WSW wind increases towards this evening.

🌊 Tides

Low: 09:31 — 1.66m
High: 16:13 — 3.11m
Low: 22:22 — 1.49m

🎣 Fishing Outlook

With the tide now pushing in and conditions still manageable, late morning through the afternoon looks a reasonable window. The strengthening westerly should add some colour and movement as the day goes on.

Overall: Fishable this morning and afternoon, becoming increasingly rough and uncomfortable later in the day.
