It is Armed Forces Weekend on the beach this Sunday and as a result we have to take 2 of the Court nets and lines down. We are planning that this will be done on Saturday morning. So for the rest of Saturday there will only be one court available. For most of Sunday the area will be out of use.

If you are available to help take the equipment down your help would be greatly appreciated.

WEEK 5 WEYMOUTH SUMMER MIDWEEK SERIES

In a slight contrast to previous weeks teams had to battle with the heat and a very crowded beach to win this week's various sections.

LITTER
As an organisation that respects the beach we were all horrified to see the amount of litter left lying on the beach when we arrived at the courts yesterday evening. By the time we left there wasn't a spot of litter remaining in the area thanks in a large part to the work of Luca Oldrid ( pictured below- with a little of the mess!) who led a campaign to get it cleared up.

WINNERS:
This week's winners were not quite so dominated as last week by the Under 20's!

WEYMOUTH MIDWEEK SUMMER SERIES: WEEK 4

Another busy Tuesday evening on the beach with teams fighting it out for ranking points in the the Midweek Summer Series. Mens Super this week saw 10 teams competing in the first King Of The Beach of the season. For the fourth week in a row Stout and Rees- Tomkins came out as winners while the Womens event saw first time and youngest ever winners Holland and Cooke.

In the Mens and Womens Super sections 3 of the 4 winners were Under 16 and in all 4 sections 7 out of 8 winners were Under 20!! A clear sign of the strength of the youngsters in Weymouth at the moment

We held our first UKBT event of the year over the weekend and despite some 'dodgy' weather on Saturday it was a very successful and full event.

The Mens 2 star was won by local team: Ryan Stout and Tali Rees- Tomkins who defeated Marcin Wojcik and Rowan Hayes

The Womens 2 star was won by Anni Jortikka and Alice Granzottowho defeated Elina Wiecaszek and Joanne Sulewska

The Mixed event by 1 Star was won by Joanne Suleweska and Rowan Hayes who defeated Imogen Hollands and Elliott Sawyer
