The Inter-Regional Championships 2026 has come to an end.
It’s always one of the best weekends in the volleyball calendar and this one was no different. Our club was well represented with some born and bred through the club and some that have joined us for at least a season in national junior competitions.
For our region, the South West, the girls kicked the competition off on Saturday and Sunday. Luckily, Tali was able to join us for our group picture.
The U17s beat Wales in their placing match after a tough round of pool fixtures that didn’t go their way.
The U15s missed out on a semi final spot by a whisker, but battled brilliantly throughout.
The boys then took to the stage on Sunday and Monday.
The U17s, with our club proudly represented by Tali, finished 2nd. Their final was a battle that deserved a third set, but ultimately the South West just fell short. A well earned silver medal.
The U15 boys went and won gold. They stopped the 4 competition streams being dominated by London and show promising signs for volleyball in the region moving forward.
