We are just reposting this announcement from his wife Tracey’s Facebook post a short while ago:-

Chris Chamberlain’s funeral will be at Weymouth Crematorium on Friday 12th December at 11.30am
Kind Donations to Vasculitis UK.
Chris is Coventry supporter so we have asked any colours that are sky blue 💙 to be worn or football shirt. Also his other passion was Scuba diving which he was a long standing member of The Old Harbour dive centre in Weymouth,any member I would kindly ask to wear your OHDC T shirts/ hoodies

Some very sad news to tell you I am afraid. A long-standing friend and member of OHDC Chris Chamberlain died last night following a long and brave fight with illness. His family were all around him and our thoughts are with them at this time and particularly his wife Tracey who looked after him throughout. We shall miss him greatly. He was, in early years, always a guaranteed member for holidays and trips, including the Cocos Keeling Islands, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Mauritius, the Caribbean and of course the Red Sea, which was his happy place. A very keen photographer he was always last out of the water and with countless pictures to show us on the Liveaboards. RIP our dear friend.

We were very sad to learn our dear friend Kevin Frampton (Frammo) who passed away today after a brief spell in hospital. Frammo had been a Diver with us for so very many years having travelled to the Cocos Keeling Islands and Australia, the Maldives on numerous occasions and many liveaboards in Egypt and land based holidays. We spent some time today looking back at some of the photos that we had of him which reminded us of all the wonderful Diving holidays that we had had with him. Our condolences of course are with his family at this difficult time. We are grateful that he came in to see us not too many weeks ago and we reminisced, and as always where Frammo was concerned there was nothing but laughter and that’s how we will always remember him. It is too early obviously to say what arrangements are being made for a funeral or memorial service. As soon as we know more we will of course post details and we will hopefully be able to say a few words on behalf of his diving friends at the service, And raise a glass to him, which all he knew him would agree would be a fitting way to pay a tribute to our very dear friend.

Our Summer of boat Diving has well and truly begun even if there was a late start due to some miserable weather. This Whitsun bank holiday weekend coming 25/26/27 May we have Local dives on Saturday and then on Sunday the iconic wreck of the M2 submarine and a second Dive and then on Monday, we are going on a long awaited scallop drift dive. This Saturday 24th June is looking nice for a day of drift diving - the Cow and the Calf down towards Lulworth and then some scalloping on Lulworth Banks - so if you’d like a space please let us know 10 o’clock ropes off! Sunday is full.
