At the Dorset County Graded Meet 2026, our team was presented with the runner up trophy for coming 2nd at the Dorset Novice Gala 2026 🏆

This is another gala for our younger swimmers to help them gain experience in galas and despite some very nervous swimmers, they swam absolutely amazingly!

It’s been a long wait for these results as the gala was in January and we are absolutely thrilled as we left the gala thinking we had come 4th!

On Sunday 16 of our newer and younger swimmers competed in the Dorset County Graded Meet 2026.

For some of these swimmers, it was their first time experiences a gala like this and we are so proud they took it all in their stride and performed amazingly despite some nerves!

Our swimmers brought back:

8 🥇
8 🥈
5 🥉
21 🏅 in total
50 PBs 🤩

This was a good experience for our swimmers and some are already looking forward to their next gala which is a good result!

This past weekend has been a busy one for our club 🏊🏻‍♀️🏊🏻‍♂️

On Saturday, we took part in round one of this years Jurassic League at Sherborne. We took a group of swimmers with the ages ranging from 10 and under to 17 and over.

Our team swam strong and finished a fantastic 2nd place, also winning the always competitive canon race at the end of the gala by just 0.12 seconds 💪🏻

A huge shout out to our two youngest swimmers Cherry and Henry who swam in their first league at just 7 years old and helped up gain some valuable points!

Over the past few weekends, 7 of our swimmers have travelled to Millfeild and Hengrove and then Millfeild again to compete at South West Regionals 🏊🏻‍♂️🏊🏻‍♀️

Our swimmers put their training into practice over 3 weekends and showed their progress over the past year in their swims 💪🏻 and the results show:

* 20 swims
* 16 heat PBs
* 7 finals swims
* 7 finals PBs
* 3 medals 🏅
* 0 DQs!!! 👏🏻

We are incredibly proud of all of our swimmers who attended and put in all the hard work both beforehand and on the day, you should be proud of yourselves!

Also a huge thank you to our coaches for pushing our swimmers to be there best in training and thank you to our head coach who travelled over the 3 weekends to support our swimmers and coach them through the event.

Lastly a thank you to the parents who made sure swimmers were at the pool, ready for the races each day, well fed and ready to go 😊

These results happen because of a team effort from our club and this has been one of our strongest regionals to date, here’s to training for more swimmers and even better results next year!

MARCH MADNESS AT WSC
Throughout March our swimmers and coaches have been busy attending meets and doing some amazing swims! Here is a round-up of what they got up to and what the results were 🏆

Poole Regional Qualifier – 19 swimmers attended:
• 47 medals
• 21 🥇Gold
• 14 🥈Silver
• 12 🥉Bronze
• 72 👏🏻personal bests

Bath level 1 meet (long-course) – 9 swimmers attended:
• 8 medals
• 4 🥇Gold
• 2 🥈Silver
• 2 🥉Bronze
• 29 👏🏻personal bests

Seagulls meet – 25 swimmers attended:
• 71 medals
• 20 🥇Gold
• 30 🥈Silver
• 21 🥉Bronze
• 58 👏🏻personal bests
• 3rd 🌟top club overall

These are some amazing results and shows the hard work all our swimmers having been putting into their training is really paying off, well done and keep up the good work. Ready for regionals next 🏊‍♂️🏊🏻‍♀️💪🏻

🚨 Important Pool Update 🚨

Due to “unexpected circumstances,” the deep end has been replaced with over 250,000 safety-approved splash spheres.

Lifeguards report:
✔️ Zero drowning risk
✔️ Maximum bounce potential
✔️ 10/10 cannonball experience

Please note: diving is still not recommended… unless you enjoy disappearing into a rainbow void 🌈

That’s a wrap on counties 2026! 🏊🏻‍♀️🏊🏻‍♂️

Despite being one of the smaller clubs, our swimmers showed that we are strong with some amazing swims at throughout the four weekends with lots of finals swims, including some of our younger swimmers getting to their first ever finals 💪🏻

A huge well done to all our swimmers who have trained hard over the last year, your hard work really showed 😊

Also a huge thank you to the coaches and team managers who made sure swimmers were ready for their races, helped calm nerves before those races and celebrated with the swimmers after a good result 👏

Finally, a big, big thank you to all our parents who helped over the weekends. Whether that was as a volunteer or an official, the club would not be able to enter galas if it was not for your support!

Thank you to everyone who attended our 200 birthday party on Saturday night. A big thank you to Dani for all your help and also to Eddie for sorting all the entertainment.

Thanks got to , the Rudds, Ange and Seal Cove for supplying the main raffle prizes and thank you to everyone else who donated, we managed to raise over £150 on the night.

Here’s hoping to another 200 years 🥳
