These two absolute legends are smashing their pad work, working hard, having a laugh and probably giving me just enough attitude to keep me on my toes! 😂👊🏼

Because ladies, you do NOT need to be super fit.
You do NOT need to know what you’re doing.
And you definitely do NOT need to wait until you feel “ready”.

You just need to walk through the door. 🖤

Schools out but we keep going 👊🏼 well done to everyone who trained this evening 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Mighty Matt’s worked through stations which covered curriculum line work, pad work and a reaction pad drill. We worked through each station ensuring everyone covered each area. I be was also holding 2 catch up gradings for those who missed last weeks 👍🏼

Juniors worked through for different stations as we started with a circuit warm up, it was then straight into group stations working through different belt specific elements along with a fun reaction drill mixed in 😆

Leadership are concentrating on self defence and display drills over the next few weeks, we are really focusing on technique over power 😊

Well done to Colby who was awarded this weeks Team Fear wristband for a fantastic attitude and great focus 🥳

Well done Weston crew, despite the heat it was a great set of classes with lots of energy 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

It was our final week before next weeks gradings so it was all about making sure those grading were ready and those not continued to progress 👍🏼

Mighty Matt’s started with a group warm up before breaking off into belt specific groups where we covered line work, pad work, hand drills, kickboxing drills and self defence 🥵

Juniors started with a partner pad work warm up which then moved onto focusing on some foundation techniques looking at application over power, we ended with a fun reaction game that also incorporated hand drills 👍🏼

Leadership continued with focusing on technique as we looked at developing a corner kick 🦵🏼

Adults started with a running/jogging warm up before spending some time on our blocking techniques after that we spent time on our self defence to basic attacks 👊🏼💪🏼

As always thank you to my wonderful assisting team 🫶🏼

Don’t forget classes will continue to run over the Summer holidays, we will also be running our bring a buddy to class promotion throughout the holidays 👭👬

It was great to be back in the sports hall especially when battling the heat 🥵

Mighty Matts and juniors were super focused as we worked through belt specific drills. Confidence is strong on hand drills and kickboxing drills so our attention is firmly on on kick and hand techniques for Mighty Matts and one step drills and display drills for Juniors 👍🏼

Leadership continued with some self defence 😊

Adults had a quick warm up, before we spent looking at hand drill moves, their application and their defence to ensure a good understanding of moves 👊🏼

Great work everyone, it may have been hot but that stop the energy in the room 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

🌞 Classes are running as normal this extreme! 🌞

With the extreme heat continuing, we will be making a few adjustments to ensure everyone stays safe and comfortable:

✅ Classes will be tailored to suit the hot weather
✅ There will be additional water breaks throughout the sessions
✅ Please bring plenty to drink and stay hydrated

👕 Non-uniform for all classes – please wear your belt.

It was hot, it was sweaty, it was full of energy and it was a great night 😁

We are busy preparing for our next set of gradings so tonight was all about checking skills and drills and tagging those who will be grading 🥋 for those not grading it was about repetition, building confidence and continued progression towards next goals 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Well done to Emily who was rewarded a Team Fear wristband for her hard work on kickboxing drills 👍🏼
