Bank Holiday Weekend only means 1 thing .. parties!

Whether that will be a garden party with bbq, drinks family and friends, or going out on the town, eating in restaurants and drinking god knows how much.

The bank holiday weekend is here to be enjoyed.. but if you have been saying to yourself that your series about creating a healthier lifestyle.. getting pi**ed up with a 3 day hangover won’t do you or your current habits any good.

So be smart with your choices this weekend. Don’t drink 2000 calories just in alcohol on top of a huge bbq or meal out, only to then do something similar the next day or 2.

Now please go enjoy yourself, eat the burger and chips. Have a Pina colada but think about it logically.

And if you get caught up in the moment and only 1 day has been to much .. f**k it.

1 bad day doesn’t have to mean a bad week, so make sure your eating as normal and staying active throughout the week.

And you don’t need to over compensate for the heavy weekend. Stick to what you have been doing and carry on as normal.

For some reason we massively over complicate health and fitness!

Going for a walk 2x a week is better than not doing anything at all. And once you have done that for a couple of weeks, up it to 3x a week. It’s that simple.

You can apply the same principle to going to the gym, introduce more nutritious foods into your day.

Consistent action is your best friend and it’s what is going to get you results.

Training 4x a week even at 60% of your max intensity will still make you feel better, develop a baseline of muscle mass and mentally make you feel better.

Find easier ways to make your exercise consistent. And most of all enjoy it.

If you Don’t do this your either going to make your life 10x harder and set yourself up for failure.

Marginal gains isn’t about doing huge tasks, and it’s certainly NOT about getting fit/ looking good Quick!!

It’s about implementing small actions to change your life, focusing on small achievements every month that create 1 large end goal!

And this is why I say to people your goals take sometimes up to a year! And sure as hell not 8 weeks.

If you want life changing results with sustainable progress you need to be doing this!

And you also need to be Following me because I’m going to be changing the mindset of people to start embracing the journey of health and fitness instead of Quick fixes!

If you struggle with motivation or discipline .. this bit of advice will change your life!

We live in a world where a lot of people want either instant gratification or only focus on the end goal!

Literally one end of the spectrum or the other and don’t focus on what’s in between.

Goal setting doesn’t just have to be the end goal .. the final result

Infact your more likely to get to that by creating micro goals or weekly / monthly goals.

By doing this you create a sense of accomplishment within yourself that keeps you going. It improves your mood but also changes your outlook on the journey your undertaking.

Weekly goals can be:
- Achieving 5 days worth of steps at a target
- eating 3 nutritious meals a day
- Getting 8 hours sleep a night

Monthly Goals can be:
- achieving 20 workouts a month
- Aiming for 4lb Drop in body fat
- taking Before and after photos

All these different goals are something you can tick off as you go…

And before you know it you will be 6 months in and nearly if not at the end of your long term goal!

SO DONT underestimate the importance of setting small achievable goals.

A Harsh Truth because you need to hear it!

No One is coming to help you! And there is certainly no perfect time to start.

It’s a valuable lesson I learnt a long time ago .. thinking that there would be people along side me helping me every step of the way .. until i started my business and realised just how much I had to rely on myself.

People may support you from a far, but you are the person who has to get up in the morning, put in the hard work and go make your future brighter, healthier and stronger!

Become your own inspiration and start to focus on what you CAN achieve instead of the obstacles you face. There will always be obstacles but when you are your biggest support these obstacles feel smaller and easier to manoeuvre.

Your the creator of your future! So get up and get it done.. you will look back and be so proud of what you have achieved.
