So today @ vobsterquay jeffsdivingworld dived with Tommy Ed’s, who took his PADI Openwater course in Sharm El Sheikh.

He approached me about taking the advanced open water course but I suggested that we do a check out dive(s) first to evaluate his readiness for his next course.

We sadly only completed one dive due to his scuba equipment failing over from height & it damaged the din adapter I lent him to use with the hired regs & so couldn’t do the second dive 🥲.

A lesson learned to lay equipment down but then every day can be a school day 👊🫶.

So observations for him were ,using hands ,buoyancy & constant mask clearing ,all of this issues addressed & will be arranging his PADI advanced open water course for next month 🫶👊.

He’s also very keen on completing his PADI wreck , deep & nitrox speciality courses.

So on September 5th

Me Lee Mobbs ,Louis & Amy Laurent dived the Valentine Tanks with the ever awesome www.diversdownswanage.co.uk
Pete the skipper is bloody brilliant & simply delivers straight talk & absolute detail.

We all had an awesome time ,even with Amy losing one of her fins & having to dive using the fin of shame 😂 & Louis having a tank slip.
Both Amy & Louis are now both PADI Advanced Openwater diver ready & this counts as there wreck adventure dive in more ways than one 🤣🤣🤣🫶👊.

Thankyou guys for an absolutely awesome day & not to forget Lee Mobbs ( PADI Divemaster ) for watching out for Louis & seeing your confidence build every time.

So a diving trip to Dahab in Egypt 🇪🇬

Dates are from 19th September to 26th September
Flying from Bristol airport.

I can teach certain courses like Nitrox ,Deep & potentially advanced open water but will require a consultation first 👊🫶.

I estimate £1,000 to cover the holiday & diving *

* for a certain amount of dives

So went diving on Saturday July 25th out of Bridport harbour on waverider via divesouth ltd.

Was diving with Lee Mobbs & Tabitha McGrath
for 2 dives on the Baygitano Wreck.
The ship was hit by a u-boat during WW1 on her port side nr the stern.

This was an interesting dive as I had to deal with Tabitha having a slight panic attack which had a positive of having to deal with that & equally for Tabitha to deal with.
“I asked her if she wanted to abort & she replied hell no” ,very proud of you Tabitha & proud to be part of your diving journey.

Only me had my DSMB & is a requirement for waverider & divesouth had spares for Lee & Tabitha.
I totally agree that all UK boat diving in openwater have & competently know how to use them.
This showed me how greatly they can be underestimated.

Moving forward I will include more than the required PADI standards on (d)smb use on the PADI open water course.

On a comical note I got bitten by a conger eel & lost my camera,only for one of the other divers to recover it for me.

So I got contacted by Clive’s partner & future Wife Charlotte,who is already an PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.
She was enquiring about Clive taking just the PADI Open Water Diver Course theory & confined training.
Clive had such a good time that he went and bought a new wetsuit & boots etc from www.othree.co.uk

He then went on to complete the 4 openwater dives at babbacombe beach & Hopecove in Devon.

Next looking to teach his PADI Advanced Open Water Course.
Just like to say that I’ve acquired 2 beautiful friends & I’m so so proud of you buddy 👊🫶.

Huge congratulations to Tabitha & Florence on completing there PADI advanced open water course over 2 days.
First day at www.vobster.com & second day at Plymouth.

They both endured challenging conditions of cold temperatures at depth in vobsterquay & currents diving out of Plymouth.

They completed : deep ,navigation,wreck ,photography & search + recovery.
