IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

Our next grading day will take place on Saturday 30th August. This will be a fun and energetic session, including a ceremony to award any tags / belts due.

KIDS GRADING will be 09:00 - 11:00

ADULT GRADING will be 11:30 start, ceremony finishing around 13:30, followed by open-mat and maybe BBQ! 👀 more info to follow!

We hope to see you all in attendance! If you can’t make the grading, any tags/belts due will be awarded at your closest timetabled class afterwards 👍🏻

Good afternoon, team!

Regretfully we have to cancel our kids classes tonight due to excessive heat! We do not have air conditioning and the gym is likely to warm up massively during the day.

Adult class will be running, we hope the temperature will start to drop off by then. This will run as an open-mat and we recommend training at a light pace. Coaches will be on hand to help and advise with whatever you are working on! Good opportunity to pick our brains!

We have changed our billing method and gym management system. We are now using the MAAT app for payments, session tracking and updates etc.

It is ESSENTIAL that all members set up their profile on MAAT before the end of the month. If you have already paid for June, do not set up your payment on MAAT until July, but you can still download and use the app.

Dear team,

We are extremely sorry to announce that we have to increase our membership fees, due to unexpected rises in our outgoings at the gym. This will take effect from July 2025.

Adult membership will rise from £50 to £55 pcm. Children’s & student membership will rise from £35 to £40 pcm. All discounts (family, blue light etc) will still be available.

If you only train once per week you are welcome to keep training at your existing rate. However we do stress that BJJ is a challenging sport and we recommend training more frequently than this for best progression, especially if you have aspirations of competing.

As a gesture to help offset this increase we have decided to start selling our training kit to club members at wholesale rates. All club Gis will now be £40, all Rash-guards £20, belts £7 and patches £6. We want to continue to make BJJ affordable and accessible for the community.

Even with the membership increase we’re still one of the most affordable academies in the country, with a timetable to suit all schedules, four experienced black belt coaches, a fantastic community, a nice venue and plenty of rising stars!

We hope the increased fees are not too much of an inconvenience and please get in touch privately if there are any issues.
