I salute the 5 and 6am warriors 🫡
An early morning workout, before you start your day, is arguably the best way to set your day up for success.

Not only does it increase your focus and productivity throughout the day, but it can also help to improve your mood. I'm not talking about that annoyingly smug feeling of 'getting it done.' I'm referring to the mood-boosting endorphins that exercise helps to release.

I'm obsessed with the detail!!

You'll be pleased to know my annoyingly obsessive approach has some good uses!

Like programming super-detailed and maximally efficient fitness programs. 🤓 If you've ever trained with me, you'll probably already know how obsessed I am with correct exercise form and ex*****on. It's the cornerstone of Bang for Buck Land, and who doesn't want more efficiency?

You really don't need to spend 3 hours in the gym (unless you want to - ermm.. me, I love it) but YOU don't have to! You just need a plan that's made for you!

Think of it like buying a pair of jeans from Primark - It will do the job of covering your legs, but it probably won't be the best or most flattering fit. The custom tailored pair on the other hand.. you get my drift

So, if you joined the gym and still haven't been, all is not lost. You might just need some guidance - as in everything planned for you! Forget trying to calculate how many reps and sets you need to do, whether your cardio is assisting or ruining your gains, and how to not feel like you've ben hit by a bus.

I said this too, and look where that got me.

On the left - 6 months of JUST cardio and ZERO weights

On the right - consistent weight training and walking 6-7k steps most days - that was the extent of my cardio, no running, no classes.

If you were to swap ALL of your adipose body FAT
for the same weight in MUSCLE, you would be significantly smaller, like A LOT!

I've been in a fitness slump lately and it's been hard to get myself out of it. 🤦🏾‍♀️ Not working out like I previously was, made me so sluggish!! Eating without tracking anything has been nice, but I miss feeling energised.

Today, I gave myself some grace. Reminding myself that I'm not a machine and it's okay to slip off track, occasionally. I've been REALLY enjoying the extra rest and food 😋😋 but it's time to get back to it.

Just finished a heavy glute-focused leg session and WOW!! Immediately feel better 🥳🥳

So, in celebration of 'day one' back at the lab, here's a peachy changing room selfie, just in case you missed them 😄

Remember to give yourself some grace, too. Balance in everything is key. ❤️❤️

So it's that time of year, MY BIRTHDAY!!! 🤩🤩 Instead of the usual gym birthday compilation, today is about celebrating life and health, often taken for granted.

For this next chapter, I will be embracing life more, travelling more, be out in nature more, loving more and giving more - these are the things which fuel me, give me energy and warm my heart. This, to me, is an abundant life

Truly grateful for all of the wonderful, inspiring and beautiful souls in my life 😌

Here's to chaper 48 and feeling great!! ✨️✨️✨️❤️
