What a nail biting end to the season for our 10&U A team who competed in Division 1 this summer. Their opponents today were Canterbury, who fielded two excellent county level players, and the match decided the winners of the league. It was 1-1 at the end of the singles, but our awesome team of Lucas and Sophia managed to play the doubles tactically to secure the win against Canterbury, and the league title 🏆

Well done to all who have represented the team this season - Sophia, Lucas, Zi and Jiaer. We are all very proud of you.

Well done as well to Nathan and Zi, who played David Lloyd Kings Hill this weekend and lost 2-1, again winning one singles each, but losing the doubles 4-3 4-2. Well done to opposition who played very well.

Whilst our other coaches were busy on court in Kings Hill, I was making the most of the sunshine, watching the HSBC Championships at the Queens Club.

Amazing to see Emma play so well, twice in one day, to make it to the WTA finals tomorrow. We also watched British player, Henry Wendelken, win his 3 sets match against the 7th seed in the qualifiers ahead of the ATP event starting on Monday.

It’s been a great weekend of tennis for our junior teams.

As well as our 11&U league successes today, and the 9&U win at Avenue yesterday, we also took on Hythe in the 16&U boys and United (Hawkhurst) in the 14&U boys today.

Sadly, one of our 16&U boys suffered an injury during the match against Hythe and so had to withdraw meaning an overall loss, but JP showed great resilience coming back from a set down to win his singles match in a championship tie-break. Recover soon Max 🤕

Our 14&U team, Oscar and Henry, took on United and both won their singles and doubles, leaving them at the top of the league but still with 2 matches to play. They were also treated to some delicious home made banana loaf from their hosts. 😋

🏆Today saw the last match of the season for both our 11&U Girls and 11&U Boys teams, and both of these awesome teams finished the season with a clean sweep of wins, finishing at the top of their respective Kent leagues 🏆

So proud of these hard working young people who have all improved so much over the last couple of years and are such solid teams who deserve all the success they achieve.

Well done to our dream teams:
11&U Girls - NATALYA AND SOPHIA
11&U Boys - NOAH AND ETHAN

🏆Well done to Jack and Henry🏆

I am incredibly proud of these two today who travelled to Avenue tennis in Gillingham for a 9&U Kent league fixture and won all their matches. It was the first ever match for Henry but he played incredibly well, and the two boys teamed up brilliantly for the doubles too.

Well done to them both.

A massive well done to both of our 14&U boys teams today, who both achieved wins that included tight tie-breaks.

Well done to Oliver and Loudon who took on Horsmonden at home and won 6-0 in their first fixture of the season.

Well done to Edison and Johan who took on Chipstead at their home ground and won 4-2 (losing the doubles but both winning their singles), leaving them top of the table with just one match to go.

Great work from our hard working boys.

Congratulations to Lucas, who travelled to Surrey today to compete in a Grade 4 tournament. Lucas won every round and eventually beat an Essex county player in the final to take the win 🥇 Well done to you for all your hard work. It is definitely paying off.

I could not be prouder of our junior teams today.
Our 10&U team (Nathan and Jean-Luc) had a very close match against a strong team from Sevenoaks and were 1-1 after the singles, but played an impressive doubles match to take the win, keeping them at the top of the division.

Our 11&U girls (Sophia and Natalya) played a team from Sevenoaks who had been significantly stronger than them during the winter season, but after a lot of hard work from both of the girls they managed to take the win. The doubles was lost on a championship tie-break, but both girls showed grit and determination and won their singles matches leading to a 4-2 win, and again keeping them at the top of the league.

Our 16&U boys (JP and Max) travelled to Canterbury and had a great match against an experienced team. They didn’t manage to win today, but they fought hard and played very well. It was their first experience of playing on clay too. Well done boys.

Pleased to report a wonderful ⭐️WIN⭐️ today for our Mixed 2s at home v St John’s Mixed 1s. The matches were played with great sportsmanship, with the final score ending 2–2, and we took the win by two games. Every game really does count…

We fielded three of our junior players who, alongside Cordova, were so impressive with their consistency, skill and composure on court. Thanks as well to Ellen for filling in at short notice and for the great support on the sidelines 👏🏻

Well played to Oliver, Ellen, Johan and Cordova (pictured with proud team captain Paolo) 🎾🙌🏻🎾

I didn’t intend for this to be a ode to Robin, but yet when I watched the videos from our Kings Hill School volleying and doubles session, I realised there was one clear superstar! Well done Robin 💥
