Swimming lessons in West Lothian for children age 3+ and adults

We promised it was a see you later and not a goodbye 💚

We are happy to be firmly back in Scotland for good, we’ve been so lucky to bump into some of our past swimmers and hear how you’re all getting on.

We hear your are desperate for us to get back to teaching, unfortunately we just can’t compete with the big swim schools for the pool time so we’re coming to you for help!

If anyone has their own private pool or knows a friend/family member that has and would be willing to allow us to hire please drop us a wee message 🏊🏻‍♂️🏊🏻‍♂️

We’re hoping to bring our private 121 and 221 lessons back for those who have requested them 🐢

‼️IMPORTANT POST‼️

As some of you may know Gary and I are emigrating on Tuesday. We have a 2 year contract in Dubai, teaching swimming. When we started Little Turtles 8 months ago we never imagined to be so successful! We couldn’t have done it without all our amazing swimmers.

We had tried our best to secure staff members to continue lessons at Little Turtles, unfortunately this hasn’t worked out and we are sadly temporally closing. We are so sorry to let our swimmers down, anyone looking to continue lessons we would highly recommend the following two swim schools: Stepping Stones (group lessons only) and Evolution (group and private lessons). Rebecca has previously worked at both schools. They have great teachers and lessons similar to ours. We will miss all our swimmers greatly and hope you all continue your fabulous swimming. If we can be of any help please do not hesitate to send us a message.

All direct debits will be cancelled and you will receive a email confirmation.

Jumping In 🤩

Our swimmers love jumping in! They look forward to it at the end of each lesson. Jumping in is a really important tool which why we teach it at the end of each lesson. Below you can see Luke, he jumps in and immediately turns to return to the pool edge. Now imagine Luke had fallen into water, the aim here is that he would do what he does in lessons and immediately turn to return to the side, this could be a life saving skill one day.

A massive welcome to our newest teacher Cara! You will have seen Cara previously on poolside and she has now joined the team😍 Cara is currently shadowing, learning and soon will have her own lessons!! We’re so happy to have you as part of the team Cara🐢

Position Filled 🥰

‼️ Swimming Teacher Job ‼️

We are looking for a teacher to join our team. Must be qualified - STA Level 2 or equivalent, lifeguard would be desirable. We have 4 hours to offer initially, based in West Lothian must be available every Sunday! Position will be self employed.

Fun and friendly place to work, we have a no pressure approach with our children!

A massive well done to our newest teacher Hannah! Hannahs been working so hard over the last month to gain her teaching qualification and today was signed off fully for her Little Turtles training. You will have all seen Hannah at some point either shadowing or poolside and she will now have her own classes. Well done 🐢

Parent and baby private 121’s

We are so happy to launch our baby and preschool program. We have decided to include private 121 lessons in this phase. These classes will be baby led and focus on giving baby the best start to becoming confident in the water!
Classes will be 20 minutes long and are suitable for 3 months to 3 years old.

Benefits include:

- Builds early water confidence
- Aids psychical and intellectual development
- Great for bonding
- Teaches water safety from a young age
- Both parents can attend, even grandparent’s we can have up to 3 adults in the water
- No interruptions and the teachers full attention
- Learning through play

We have limited spaces available on Sundays at St Kent’s, the first term will be starting 7st August for 8 weeks. Message us to have a chat and secure your space🐢

Swimming Teacher Position 🐢

We are looking for a teacher to join our team. Must be qualified - STA Level 2 or equivalent, a safety award would be desirable. We have 4 hours to offer initially, based in West Lothian must be available every Sunday! Rate of pay is depending on experience. Position will be self employed. We only have a few spaces left in our group lessons and 121’s. Below are the only spaces we have left:

11:30am - suitable for children who can swim full lengths without stopping. 3 spaces

12 - suitable for beginners age 6+. 1 space

1:30pm - suitable for a 121, 2:1 or 3:1 age 3+

2:30pm - suitable for children 6+ that can swim half lengths confidently. 1 space

3pm - suitable for beginners age 6+. 2 spaces
