Friday night Junior Sailing has been very windy for the last 3 weeks, but our youth coaches have done a great job running some shore based activity for the younger sailors. Some of them even had a go at trapezing in the 470!
We have coached Feva and Optimist racing and our Mini Stars beginner optimist groups on Fridays, fingers crossed for some lighter winds this week!

WKSC Youth sailors took part in The Big Lash last weekend, Liverpool and Manchester universities team racing event. High winds meant that racing took place only on Sunday, but 72 races was a good achievement under the circumstances. No time for finals, meant that at the end of sailing, only 2 teams were on 100% win record. Danger Durham and WKSC! Well done to Durham for taking the overall win on count back.
Well done to our home youngsters, our WKSC team of David & Olly, George & Olivia and Pat & Tom had a great time!

Endeavour weekend for Patrick and his crew Tabitha from RLymYC/TBSC, representing the Optimist class…they came 12th overall with 2, 3rd place finishes on day 1. Super proud of them, well done! Big thank you to the Edwards family for the loan of their mainsail, and the Peel family for chartering their RS200 to the sailors.

🌪💨🌊Day 2 was super windy!
🌟Great results and effort from our sailors. Congratulations to Isobel coming 1st girl and 2nd overall and Seb coming 2nd boy and 4th overall.
🤩Eve and Edie had an amazing weekend at their first main fleet event, with solid results and a few top 10 finishes between them, they should be really proud of themselves! 😎

Great day yesterday at Leigh & Lowton Sailing Club for the North West Optimist champs. All our sailors did really well in the light and shifty conditions. Thanks to LLSC for hosting, David for on the water coach support & our parents for helping on shore and on the water. 🌟⛵️🤩
