Garnock Valley Sporting Gun Club

Garnock Valley Sporting Gun Club Clay Pigeon Club We shoot with Shotguns at Clay Pigeons / Targets that are launched into the air
by a Trap that is either manual or an auto-launcher.

We are a very friendly safe club that like to make new & prospective members
feel welcome. The club meets on a few Sundays throughout the year from February to December
the starting time for all shoots is 12:30pm & the last entries are at 01:15pm. All enquiries are welcome.

I was expecting a wet and wild day today. Glad it stayed dry for the 13 brave members that could make it today.
Thanks Tom at North Ayrshire for today’s layout. Windy conditions made today’s clays a bit of a challenge at times.
Today’s high gun was Andrew Nicol 47/50 excellent shooting Andrew.
Trophy winner was Paul Pioli after 3 way draw with Connor Shaw and Alan Meikle.
Runner up was Connor Shaw.
Port trap winner was Connor Shaw after 2 way draw with Andrew Nicol both had 9/10.
Our next shoot is on 19/4 hope to see you all then.

What a wild day for shooting clays.
Another great set up at North Ayrshire.
Thanks to the 21 brave souls that braved the elements to be there today.

High gun today with 34/50 was John Smith.
Trophy winner today with 33/50 was Connor Shaw.
James Sheridan was runner up.
Port trap winner was John Smith with 6/10. Enjoy the port John.

First day back after winter layoff at North Ayrshire.
Thanks Tom for another great set up for 2 man team shoot.
After really wet morning we got it dry for shooting.
Thanks everyone for coming along and taking part.
Great banter as usual.
The winners today were Allan Linstead and Hugh Burns 39/50. Well shot guy’s.
Runners up were Emily Gifford and Brian Duffy 37/50.

Thanks everyone for coming along to our last shoot of the year.
Thanks for all the raffle prizes generous as always.
The proceeds of the raffle today is going to one of our members that’s running the London marathon next year for McMillan Cancer support.
Thanks so much for all your support for this fundraiser today much appreciated.

Hi guys this is one of the raffle prizes for next week.
There is also a 4 Ball at Rowallan golf club. It’s in a separate raffle.
There will be soup, sausage rolls and cakes.
One of our members is running the London marathon so all the takings from the raffle will be going to this good cause.

The 15 guns that turned up in a miserable day enjoyed it.
David, Neil and Campbell the barn doors are on order for our next shoot 🫣🫣

Got it dry today with some winter sun that played its part in making for some difficulty in seeing the clay’s. That’s my excuse 😂😂
High gun today was John Noble after card draw with John Smith both had 37/50. Well shot guy’s.
Trophy winner today was Jake Alexander.
Port trap winner was John Smith 9/10 enjoy the Port John. 🍷🍷

What a stinker of a day for shooting clays.
Glad the compact sporting was available which meant we were under cover.
I’ve never tried this before. Some very challenging targets.
I hope the 13 members that turned up enjoyed the experience too.

A rather soggy day at North Ayrshire yesterday.
Thanks to the hardy 14 members that turned up to shoot in the rain.
At least it gave everyone an excuse for missing some targets 😂😂 and yes Donald I could have done with a set of wipers for my specks 😂😂
Great banter as usual.
High gun was Allan Linstead with 36/50 well shot Allan.
Trophy winner was James Sim runner up was James Sheridan.
Port trap winner was Donald Fulton with 8/10. I hope you enjoyed it.
The next shoot for GVSGC is 5/10

It’s a 50bird sporting starting at 11am.
This is the inter club competition that was discussed at AGM.
