A long time since the last update - highlights from an enchanting weeks diving with Barnsley BSAC Divers in the Isle of Arran No-Take Zone and Marine Protected Area led by Wreckspeditions

The island has unique charm - Goatfell, Arran Botanical Drinks, The Drift Inn, Glenisle Hotel, Isle of Arran and Arran Coast all made our week very special.

The underwater scenery, visibility and marine life is simply mind-blowing - some of the best scenic diving in the UK! Octopus, Crawfish (very rare), lobster, sea hares, congers, cat sharks and more. And the perfect finishing touch - a large pod of dolphins keeping us company on day 3!!

This short video covers December dives around the Cumbrae Islands on the Firth of Clyde from our base at Largs Yacht Haven. The highlight was an amazing surface interval exploring the long abandon Lighthouse on the uninhabited Little Cumbrae Island.

Emperor Divers is one of the Red Sea's best known and longest established Liveaboard fleets. These video highlights cover the May 2022 "Get Wrecked!" itinerary on Emperor Superior, expertly dive managed by the affable Hani. The diving was simply amazing!

The accommodation, food and crew were first class. Despite difficult weather conditions during the week, the captain skillfully adapted the itinerary to deliver the Dunraven, Thistlegorm, Carnatic, Giannis-D, Kingston, Rosalie Moller, Ulysses, El Miniya, Yolanda, and a few scenic reefs. And Dolphins! The group were joined on two dives by our aquatic and playful cousins!

🎥 Highlights from the Easter Bank Holiday diving trip to St Abbs in the Berwickshire Marine Reserve with Barnsley BSAC Divers, Dearne Valley Divers and Rothwell Sub-Aqua with Paul Crowe in Dive St Abbs and 'Shore Diver'.

In addition to the usual Wolf Fish and Octopus, the group also managed to rescue and free a Guillemot trapped in fishing line. Heartwarming stuff! ☺️

If Carlsberg did 500th Dives... An epic dive #500 for Rob Mason on the S.S. Glanmire at St Abbs Head with Aquamarine Charters Eyemouth. The wreck has never looked so good in an amazing 10m viz, and having had a recent haircut courtesy of Ghost Fishing UK.

To top off a wonderful day, BBC's Kate Humble (an absolutely charming lady) in Eyemouth filming for a new TV series, happily spent a bit of time chatting with divers.

The Cowal Peninsula around the South West of Scotland is a hugely under-estimated diving destination - it offers a great mixture of wreck-diving and scenics of wide variety. The highly recommended Jason Coles (Wreckspeditions) offers a welcoming dive charter service out of the Holy Loch Marina in Dunoon Argyll Scotland.

The town itself is very friendly with a nice mixture of pubs and restaurants - The 51st State & La Cantina was firm diver-friendly favourite during this trip.
