This weekend we welcome The Jukebox 6 back to the Club!

Get ready for a night of rock classics and pop anthems, with the band playing live from 8pm. 🙌

Unfortunately, we’ve had to make the decision to postpone our Charity Rounders Day, which was due to take place tomorrow, Sunday 13th September.

We’re really sorry to everyone who was looking forward to joining us, but this isn’t the end of Our Village. Our Match. Our Cause. 💗

We’ll be looking to rearrange the event for a new date and will share more details as soon as we can.

For those who have already registered and paid their £5 entry fee, we’ll be in touch directly regarding your registration.

It’s time for the third edition of our Big Quiz nights for 2026 - and tonight we’re putting your school-day knowledge to the test!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Quiz from 6:30pm
🧠 Adult Quiz from around 8pm

Rounds will be inspired by your favourite (and maybe not-so-favourite!) school subjects - so it’s time to find out how much you actually remember. 👀

You’re welcome to join us for both quizzes or just come along for either one.

And you can make a night of it, with Sophie’s Kitchen serving food tonight from 5:30pm - check out the menu alongside this post. 🍽️

Our ever-popular Big Quiz is back for its third edition of 2026 and this time, we’re heading back to school!

Join us this Friday 11th September from 6:30pm for a family-friendly quiz night, with rounds inspired by the subjects you thought you’d left behind in the classroom! 🧪📖🌍➗🎨

Expect questions covering everything from English and Maths to Science, History, Geography and more - so get your team together and find out who really was paying attention at school. 👀

📣 WE’RE HIRING BANK BAR STAFF! 🍻

It’s an exciting time at Barns Green Sports & Social Club. The club continues to grow, we’re welcoming more people through the doors, and our calendar is getting full with live music, quiz nights, bingo, family events and plenty more planned.

With more going on, we’re looking to grow our bar team too!

We’re looking for friendly, reliable and enthusiastic people to join us as Bank Bar Staff, helping provide cover during busy periods, events, evenings and weekends.

This is a flexible role and could be ideal if you’re looking to pick up some additional shifts while being part of a friendly local club and its growing community.

We welcome local legends The Jukebox 6 - Function Band to the club from 8pm!

Whether you loved rounders at school, haven’t picked up a bat in years or just fancy having a go, everyone is welcome - no experience needed!

It’s £5 to play, with 100% of every entry fee going to Cancer Research UK. 💗

We’ll organise the teams once everyone has signed up, so you don’t need to already have a team - just register yourself and come along for a laugh!
