Since March 1st, I’ve had a real moment this week where I’ve forced myself to stop, look back, and actually celebrate the wins.
I’ve learnt so, so much about my business along the way — and I’ve definitely had to push myself way out of my comfort zone at times. When you’re building something you care about (and trying to stay fit, be a parent/Husband, and keep life moving), it’s so easy to go straight from one goal to the next without ever giving yourself credit. But progress deserves to be noticed.
Here’s what’s happened since March 1st at Up & Outdoor Fitness:
I set up my new dream studio — the kind of space I’ve wanted to build for a long time.
And with that, we’ve evolved massively… moving from 8 classes a week to 21 sessions of small-group, focused training. More coaching, more personal attention, better results, and the community vibe I’m proud of.
On a personal level, I ran the London Marathon — a huge challenge in the mix of setting this studio up and something I’ll never forget
We’ve launched our Run Club too, which has been brilliant for bringing people together and adding another layer to what we do.
And one of my favourite wins — we took members away on a walking trip to the Jurassic Coast. Proper fresh air, good chats, big views, and a reminder that fitness isn’t just about the gym… it’s about living life and making memories.
None of it’s happened by accident — it’s been graft, consistency, and a lot of early mornings and late nights but it’s worth taking a second to say: we’ve done well here.
If you’re reading this and you’re in your own “busy season”, take this as your reminder: look back and celebrate your wins too. They matter.
Or maybe you’re thinking about trying something new — go for it. You can do it. Feeling anxious is normal when you’re stretching yourself… and honestly, that’s what makes the success even more worth it when you come out the other side.
