"I just can't find the motivation at the moment"

Sound familiar?

I'm not here to p**s on your chips, if it's motivation getting you out of bed every day, making good choices and driving you forward, then so be it.

But, for 99% of us, motivation will come and go with the wind.

This is where we need to replace motivation with π—±π—Άπ˜€π—°π—Άπ—½π—Ήπ—Άπ—»π—².

When your motivation is low, π˜₯π˜ͺ𝘴𝘀π˜ͺ𝘱𝘭π˜ͺ𝘯𝘦 will keep you going, π˜₯π˜ͺ𝘴𝘀π˜ͺ𝘱𝘭π˜ͺ𝘯𝘦 will drag you to the gym, π˜₯π˜ͺ𝘴𝘀π˜ͺ𝘱𝘭π˜ͺ𝘯𝘦 will keep you on target.

Let motivation come and go. Motivation is a mindset. Discipline is a characteristic. One which will change your life.

Don't worry, I'm not training to be a barber now...

There's an old saying "if you hang around the barber shop for long enough, sooner or later you will get a haircut"

"But why is that relevant to fitness and bettering yourself?" I hear you ask...

Well, let me say this... Your vibe attracts your tribe. If you're constantly spending time with people who don't want to push themselves, or leave their comfort zones, guess what. You'll do the same.

But if you choose to spend time with people who are constantly striving for more, for better and leaving their comfort zones, you'll do the same.

What I mean quite simply is there are 2 types of people in the world... Drains & Radiators...

Who you choose to associate yourself with will dictate your success.

Drains - sapping all of your energy with their negative bogus, projecting their beta, weak mentality onto others and holding people back.

Radiators - flooding everyone they meet with positivity, good energy and a focused, driven and winning mentality.

Steer well clear of the drains and focus on the radiators who have your best interests at heart!

When you think of a picture of health you see a six pack, muscles, salads and working out, right?

I would wholeheartedly disagree.

To me health is having confidence, happiness and comfort in who you are and the life you live.

I need to know who the f**k ever said starving yourself and overworking yourself to the point of misery in the aim of achieving a six pack was healthy 🀯

I don't have a six pack, never have, likely never will. I'm fluffier than your picture perfect PT, but I bet I'm happier than them. My image doesn't dictate my lifestyle, what I eat or how I socialise...

I do what I need to do to keep myself fit and able whilst enjoying the things that make me happy with people who share similar passions.

That to me is health. 🧑

Have you ever wanted to do something so bad but talked yourself out of it because you "could" fail? πŸ€”

This is the negative part of your brain taking over and allowing limiting beliefs to make a decision for you.

Limiting beliefs are a false belief inside your brain that you cannot achieve something you want to and I can guarantee at one point or another we have all suffered with it.

"I won't get that promotion, Sandra deserves it more"
"I could never finish a marathon, I'm not fit enough"
"I could never make it Everest base camp, I wouldn't survive it"

If we let limiting beliefs dictate how we lived, we would never achieve anything outside of our comfort zones... And we know how I feel about comfort zones!

Let's look at some ways to overcome limiting beliefs:

1. Identify them - look at what it is that is causing you to feel as though you cannot achieve the goal

2. Take responsibility - do not choose to believe that things are out of your control

3. Let go of certainty - certainty kills dreams, if you crave certainty or perfection then that is a set up to fail.

4. Change your self talk - self talk is that voice in our head which is our constant conversation, keep the language positive and try to expel any negative thoughts or vocabulary.

Just by applying these few concepts when it comes to achieving goals, you can change your outlook and how you approach the challenge.

Believe you can challenge your limits.
Do not let belief limit your challenge.
