Our season started yesterday with 40 of our members sharing a buffet supper which proved to be a banquet. We have limited memberships available and a taster session is to be held next Tuesday, 13th May at 2.00 p.m. for those interested. Croquet is a challenging and fascinating game but club activities don't stop there. Pub lunches; bridge; mahjong; chess; walks; coffee mornings are all on offer.

Winter Social Programme:- The club does lots more than just play croquet and has a full winter social programme in the lovely West Chiltington sports Pavilion which includes bridge, chess, mahjong, and games sessions. There are also coffee mornings at the Queens Head pub, guided walks and pub lunches. Open to all full playing members and their partners. Our Christmas lunch was held at the Queens Head in West Chiltington on the 11th Dec when 47 members took over the restaurant! The atmosphere in the pub was warm and welcoming and the pub and tables nicely festooned with decorations. The food was good and the service friendly and a good time was had by all. Thanks to the staff at the Queens Head for making this such a successful event.

You can do all this by joining West Chiltington Croquet Club. We shall be offering limited memberships for the upcoming season. In addition to playing croquet in the summer, we have a full winter programme and are reputed to be one of the friendliest clubs in the area. Croquet is an easy game to learn but will offer hours of fascinating challenges. No special equipment needed. Coaching given free.

Congratulations to all those involved in the organisation of the very successful West Chiltington Village Show on Saturday.
