There’s been something really special about these Stretch & Sound sessions with
The combination of gentle but deep stretching, nervous system release and then dropping into rest through sound has honestly been a magical combination.
Some of the experiences shared after our event on Friday evening:
“It was the first time in years I was able to lose myself, thank you.”
“I was in a peaceful garden with flowers, I didn’t want to come back.”
“I felt tingles all over my body.”
“I slept really well after the session, thank you.”
When the body is given the opportunity to slow down, soften and feel safe, the brain and nervous system can enter deeply restorative states that many people rarely access in everyday life. Stretching helps release tension and stored stress patterns from the body, whilst sound and vibration can help shift brainwave activity into slower states associated with deep meditation, healing and altered perception.
This is why trauma-informed, nervous-system-aware practice is so important in this work. These experiences can be incredibly beautiful and restorative, but they also remind us just how powerful the mind and body truly are when given the space to let go
